Good morning World! Welcome to our home! Yesterday's Doc GREEN Dance

I squished KT this morning - we're calling it a drop like we did before but I think 'squish' fits the amount more appropriately.
I'm shooting him once a day as that same drop twice a day got us to that 'too low' place that caused us to stop insulin for a few days. I plan to shoot this way for 3 more days and see where he lands. If it's still running too high, I'm going to attempt an 18 hour schedule. All he's eating is LC altho' he'd really like me to hand him a bowl of 'GRAVY FUDS Mama'! I need to read more on that potato starch thing - if it really ISN'T a bad thing, there are a couple of foods I can get that has gravy but only listed carb is that potato starch. Can't remember it's name but someone else suggested it - I checked it out but didn't buy because of that.

BIG Bounce for our extra sweet RockDoc! That drop of over 300 points in 5 hours yesterday caused his liver to celebrate by sharing his cake and ice cream... That's what's been happening with him but I couldn't catch it. He only stayed in those numbers for less than 4 hours then started zooming back up. We backed off his dose by .25 units. If I could have caught it diving, I would have fed it to slow it down but I was shopping. ohmygod_smile Looking back over his ssheet, I think his bounces are lasting about 30-36 hours - that will make his next drop late tonight or early EARLY tomorrow morning.
JOHNNY Drooler UPDATE!!! DANCE with us!!! After him figuring out he didn't LIKE to stand or sit in his pee now, he's peed OUTSIDE!!! He's even did 'finish potty' (poop) outside too!!! He's also trying SO hard to keep from dropping to the ground and trying to melt when he's outside now. Yesterday evening he needed to pee, he CAME TO ME without my even having to call him - even pushed Junior right out of the way to come to me!! This is HUGE HUGE for him! After eating this morning, I even got HUGS from him when I got him out of his eating crate!!! All this work is causing him to turn circles, drop his head, start forward then back away...but even THAT is a GOOD thing - keep working sweet boy! You'll figure out life is a GOOD thing now.
We've still got the pup we were blessed with Sunday. We've had 2 people call that have lost dogs but neither of them was the owner of this little one. She's a real sweetheart and has definitely been loved....not what we usually get. We'll continue trying to find her home this week but she'll go into rescue if no one calls. She'll be transported to a larger area with more chance of finding another good home. I only have one fuzzy pic of her but I'll post it anyway - can anyone guess what her ancestry might be? Her head is 'cone shaped' rather than wide jawed like a Lab, Retriever or most other hounds. She CAN howl with the best of them tho'...

Update on my dad...there is no update. He won't accept phone calls, first visiting hours are tomorrow from 1-2. We have no idea if we'll get to see him or not. Even tho' this hospital has a fancy name, it's still a hospital for mental patients. My mother is the one really needing the prayers right now - she just learned that she doesn't have the right paperwork to get him into a nursing home for patients with these issues. Right now he's considered mentally impaired so no POA would be legal. She's between a rock and a hard place and has no idea where to turn.
Extra thoughts and prayers still for Mariko, Melanie and Marci. We've got some struggling too - please take time to visit a 'newbie' condo today, they SO need that.
BIG HUGS to all that visit today! DANCE with us!!!
