At least PooKitty isn't wearing that ugly pink toad suit this morning - he climbed into it last night about bedtime but at least he didn't wear it all night! We're on the last 1/4th VIAL but I don't see that the insulin is lessening in strength as we're still getting the same numbers we've gotten all along.
Another baking day here but at least we're not surrounded in fires - nearest one is over 20 miles away and headed the other direction. Everything is just baked dry - fields are just daring a spark from anything, even a piece of glass concentrating heat on a dead leaf or grass. A group of us that live here full time had a confrontation with a family that came in for the weekend and decided to burn their trash, leaves and brush. We nicely asked them to put it out, they laughed in our faces - wrong thing to do. Their fire is out and the sheriff is visiting them 'bout now. We didn't leave the area until we saw the sheriff's car arriving so they wouldn't relight it. They've got a huge fine coming - $250! We tried to tell them nicely....they really should have listened. You don't piss off (and scare) all us old people and get away with it....we don't want to become the next fire statistic!
