My morning started out nicely as my labradoodle Hershey had diarrhea all over the kitchen floor sometime during the night. DH cleaned it up! I let her out and she did it again in the yard, and then went to the corner of the yard where we have a little statue of st. Francis of Assisi and WOULD NOT LEAVE IT. She refused to come inside or leave the statues side for 90 minutes... Intercessory prayer?

But back to Chinookie. Found him laying in the litter box. Really? Please, God, do not let this little kitty be any sicker than he already is! Cannot handle one more sick animal today. He got up and came out when he heard me getting his food ready though. Anyone else's cats ever just hangout there?

Hi guys .. I don't think I've been to chinookie's condo before so welcome from us! Sorry to hear about the diarrhea this morning, hope that is all done and over with .. And sorry, don't have any experience with kitties hanging out in the LB either  but I do hope you have a great day!

No, I've never personally had a cat that liked to lay down in the litter box. I've seen this with kittens though. I've seen some cats that don't like litter so their bean uses pee pads or paper towels in the litter box. She has a couple of boxes paper towel lined. One the cat sleeps in, one the cat pees in! :o  :o

Maybe set out a cardboard box somewhere for her to jump into and sleep? Mine love to do that.

Sorry to hear about the poo fest this morning. Those are never fun.

When I'm not using pellet litter Nikki will sometimes get in the box and lay down right after I dump it out and put fresh in. It's really weird, but she did it as a younger cat too! And she only does it when the litter is totally clean. @-)
