amps at 6am 219 with food

10:15 am rec'd fluids 100 ML at vet (mom has bad luck, and got a new bag since the last one was expired!)
+6 228 (noon) and fed him about 1 1/2 tablespoons of snack, as doc wants his food intake to come down a little bit.
pmps 268 (6pm)

They will get back to me tomorrow with the results of the blood test & urine test.

Why did they want his food intake lowered? Is his weight up?? I know that regulating diabetes relies on balancing food, insulin and exercise, but lowering his intake surprised me.
