I have been worried about getting things started for Buddy on Lantus, so naturally I over slept this morning. I got up several hours earlier to give Buddy some medicine, it was chilly this morning so I thought I would lay down for just a minute. The next thing I knew my Mother came in my room and said do you want me to shut your clock off, a couple of hours had passed. Finally, Buddy got his shot, it seemed so strange to pull out that small amount.
Buddy, has not been feeling well for a couple of weeks. Today I called his vet's office and made another appointment for Buddy to see the vet. This will be his 3rd appointment in 3weeks, if I do not get some results this time I guess we will need to move along. This doctor took out the tail of Buddy's pancreas because it was all inflamed and then when I take Buddy to see him because of not eating, loose stools, & hiding he wants to say it is something else. Today, I called every vet and or animal hospital in the town where I live to see if they had in house testing for pancreatitis, not a 1 did. So, we will get blood work sent out for testing.
Buddy, has had chronic pancreatitis for years, 1 time that I knew of he had an acute attack and all the rest have been chronic.
I am happy for Buddy to be taking Lantus, even his vet said that Lantus is close to what his body produces.
Hopefully, this will help Buddy and give his little pancreas a rest.
If anyone knows of something that I could do for Buddy please let me know.
