Quiet morning with Bing in jail for the day. Alska hanging low since he knows I found out that he peed on my blanket. Unfortunately I didn't smell it until bedtime so it was already souring. I didn't reprimand him because I know it was due to being trapped on the bed by Bing yesterday morning.

My Bing is an idiot!!! There is a lot of in-breeding in his line and he is also big and strong which makes things worse. He also has feline hyperesthesia and when he feels it, he runs around the house like a madman. He aggressively charges and chases other felines but doesn't stop at the end of the chase until he has a patch of fur or skin in his mouth. He is unable to learn lessons or understand why he is being punished. He doesn't have a mean or nasty bone in his body - he does everything like an aggressive playmate. He doesn't even know how to shave his claws so we have to cut them - often. Last year he put a bite wound on the back of his best buddy. Brio had to have Covenia to heal the wound. I had to separate them which caused them to sleep against opposite sides of the door in companionship. To Bing, this was a successful mission and he tries repeatedly all day and night to do it again. Now he is charging my elderly but scrappy female. I think she is about 16 years old and when she flips him off, he charges her and she is much to frail to fight back. She is at the end of her life and should not have to live like this. I have three other cats and they should not have to live in fear and oppression and I should not have to start and end my day screaming or worrying about the next unnecessary vet bill.

On the other hand, Bing loves people and is an ankle rubber which means he gets kicked into walls and across floors often. He is very affectionate and can be so utterly precious. He is very high maintenance and has to be involved with everything I am doing. I adopted him which means that no matter what, he is mine and I am committed to him. Somebody else obviously could not handle him and brought him to a high-kill shelter the day before gas day. He is five now and I was hoping that he would settle down as he got older but I don't see it. Drugs and isolation are being considered.

Oh and in case you are wondering - yes... I do love him.

Got one very similar. Myrrdin is to be completely non politically correct a retard. He's stuck mentally at 3 months old. Max hates him, the others tolerate him. He can't grasp the concept that he can't still play kitten games now that he's 13lbs and almost 6 years old. Definitely not as bad as Bing but bad enough he keeps my vocal cords in shape. So I feel for you. But they're ours warts and all. I'm sure you love Bing as much as I love Myrrdin and when the day comes and they are no longer with us they will be missed.

yes. sometimes you just have to separate them. i let them together supervised but i can't leave him unattended or i also end up with vet bills from wounds inflicted by him. he is a big boy and doesn't know his own strength. if i play with him alot, he is better but i don't always have the time to do multiple play sessions. but it is true, i will be a wreck when he is gone. i love him lots.

Sounds like we all have our Bings and yes we have to really love them to put up with all this crap. It was very calm when I came home tonight -even the prisoner was asleep and the room was still in tact. Mommacat made it downstairs to the patio on her own. Once Bing was let out all he wanted were cuddles and kisses. I like this locking up stuff.

Started a new cartridge tonight so I skinnied Alska's dose.

sometimes you have to "reintroduce" the bullies and it helps to keep them apart for awhile. it also gives the other cats (the victims) time to get more confident . i have some great cat behavior books etc that work on this very thing. i would b happy to copy the info for you if u like. just let me know.
