So MissP had her blood drawn. Vet was busy busy, but did manage to ask vet for appetite enhancer. So she gave us cyproheptadine 1mg 2x a day. She's lost another 1/2 a pound :'( in 2 weeks. I'm heart broken. I hope this stimulant will help. Hubby and I talked and we will give it another 2 weeks. Unless by miracle the blood work comes back great. When vet calls I will ask about the budesonide, and possibly an antibiotic? If white count is up. Which one @Wendy&Neko is zeniquin ok? Or do you suggest a different kind? Please keep bw in prayers and send appy vines. Head bumps and scritches to all.

Gizmo doesn't tolerate the cypro well, it really spaces him out bad - to the point he almost can't walk. He seems to do a bit better with Mirtz. Just a heads up-jic.

I thought it was the mirtz that was the one that caused all the crazy behavior?
 
So the vet called. There have been a couple of tiny steps. She is no longer anemic. She at the low end of normal. Lymphocytes went up a little but so did her RBC. She said as long as this appy stim helps her eat, and we keep going in this direction, we are ok. If she goes back to not eating we will have problems and she will concider the steroids. That will be our last hail mary. Unless I want the bone marrow biopsy, which we will not get done. So we go back in 2 weeks to get another CBC. I will post the report tomorrow, they hadn't sent it yet. that's where we are. Still going uphill but at least we haven't slipped down the slope any more. She also had lost another 1/2 pound in 2 weeks.
