Pamela I feel your frustration:bighug::bighug::bighug:
My kitty Fritz was regulated and out of nowhere he took a turn for the worse and his numbers are climbing fast:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: worse part is I have no idea WHY!!!!:arghh::arghh::arghh:
Hang in there! You might want to experiment with her food. Fritz is super sensitive to FF (carbs)that I use it to raise his numbers when they are dropping.

Hi thank you for the support Amethyst is very sensitve She can not have any dry at all also she only eats pure bires whole food which is just chicken and water Our vet told me she needs more or else she will suffer lack of vitiamons and proteins. She is only getting abut 3% carbs per day????

Is she not getting the Fancy Feast Classics for her main meals? Pure chicken is not a complete meal by itself.

How is Amethyst feeling? We call it the 5 P's - purring, playing, preening, pooing, peeing. Cats are more than just their numbers. How is her appetite? I know you haven't been able to test for ketones yet, I hope you can get the ketostix soon and start testing her regularly.

Hi YES the Fancy Feasts Classics are their main meal. She goes to the Pure Chicken first then eats the FF after. Yes I received the Ketone strips thanks to JanetNJ I cannot collect it in full stream because she stops to see what I am doing I have been sticking them in the urine before she covers it Is that OKAY? She is eating and purring,playing,preening,pooping,peeing. Her readings have been Trace .5 It has been 15 days in the REDS????

As long as you get the test strips in the urine shorly after she pees, you should be OK.

i just covered the entire litter box with a trash bag... smashed it so you could feel the litter underneath and mine peed on the plastic....
and I stalked her. :rolleyes:

Sandy and I have been talking about a way to try to move Amethyst out of the reds. For kitties that seem really stuck in high numbers, we sometimes "fast track" them. This means increasing every 4 cycles until she shows you some lower numbers in yellows, then we can think about slowing down the increases. This technique only works for caregivers who do the appropriate amount of testing, such as you are doing Pamela. And for any lurkers, this suggestion is only for Amethyst.

Any questions? Thoughts?

I also know how frustrating it is, all the reds and occasional pinks. :bighug: She will get there, keep positive. Everyday you are getting closer to the dose that will start something.
