Is there an updated food list for any new cat food in the last year? My Ravan has Diabetes & kidney disease. I still have a hard time finding Low carb & low phosphorus canned food.

Do any of you have your own list of low carb & low Phos. you'd like to share?

I was just thinking about this. Rocket absolutely loves the Nutro Grain Free Perfect Portions, but they're not on the list - I usually only feed him the pate varieties; there are a couple listed as "cuts in gravy" too. I'm attaching a photo. I've been wondering if anyone here feeds these to their cats too. I contacted the manufacturer about them several weeks ago, and they got back a few days later - she said all the pate varieties are under 1% carbs (as-fed, not dry matter). I didn't know to ask about phosphorus at the time, but I do now (Rocket has acromegaly, so we're trying to do what we can to keep his kidneys healthy). Chewy lists the chicken variety, for example, as .34% phos (as-fed) and 1.55 (dry matter), for what it's worth. I find if I look for foods on Chewy often someone has asked questions about carbs and phos already, if that helps.

I know Tiki Cat has several varieties that are very low/no carb, and low phosphorus. But Rocket doesn't really like them. =/

Oh! I forgot about Weruva - they have all the nutritional info for their foods on their website, even different charts for as-fed and dry matter. A lot of them are lower phosphorus too, which is pretty amazing. Sadly every time I try feeding Weruva, even just the pates, Rocket either barfs or has horrible poo. No idea why.

Tigger also got the worsening CKD result recently. He now eats Weruva Pate Press Your Lunch. I made two tabs on his spreadsheet. Still trying other foods. Jeopurrdy Licious in the pouch is good too. I’m not really cutting his protein all the way yet though as there is some thinking the less protein theory is outdated.

Also I could not find the number one recommended food Nature’s Logic Beef at any store to try just a can or two. Tigger doesn’t love beef so I gave up.And the second most recommend was Whole Earth Farms Duck. Hard to find too! Once you do, if your cat likes it - stock up!
