Yesterday's Condo

Morning LL!
This humidity can leave at any time, bleah! My civvie kitty Nutmeg didn't even want to go on tour of the gardens this AM. Usually she is first out the door. Today she hit the brakes and spun around, headed to the basement instead!

Purr went out, went about 40 ft and then laid down. His bff civvie Shadow is hanging there with him, like C'mon Paps, let's go explore! He's not up for it in this heat. It's such a pretty day otherwise. So back in they came and will terrorize me all day :lol:

I'm wondering if he got a little bounce going this AM. He may have gone lower after I tested him after midnight last night and he was pretty hungry at his +9 snack time. Maybe that's just wishful thinking and his numbers are going up again and he will need to go up to 2.25U. Well, whatever it takes. He did seem to like this dose, he was getting close to some really good numbers so it looks like we are on the right track.

I went to bed then at 12:15 so he may have gone a bit lower. Could he bounce from that? Or does he just need more insulin?

I always wonder about the bounce when Spot goes a little lower than he is used to. Even though he has been getting those high greens/low blues and then he gets that low green and goes a tad higher....Not sure if you can get a bounce on a small dose....so, sorry I can't answer that question.

Purrcie did have a nice little run of numbers yesterday, tho, so I hope he can go back down to those nice blues for ya today.

It's pretty humid here also...so happy that I get to sit in an ac'end office! I pitty my poor crew managers and the crews that have to work in the hot hot hot hot schools, stripping and refinishing their floors. I think I'll stop at one of the grocery stores today and take them out some ice cream...What would you do for a klondike bar????

Purrcie had a great day yesterday - wonder on the bounce thing. I know with Mannie, no matter what the dose, I almost expect a bounce when I have had a run of greens, or low blues - it's almost a given. I wonder with Purrcie. He really did have some good stuff going on there yesterday. He may still get there today.

Hey Purrcie! Dude !!! It sounds unbearably HOT there - come to the west coast and we can go surf the cool blue waters of the pacific - it is so refreshing. We can lounge on the grass afterwards - it's a nice 60 right now... and hey! I have some leftover tuna scones from last nights surf and food fest... See you later. Maybe? ~~ Mannie

I only LOVE cinnamon on rice pudding!!! I LOVE cinnamon!!!
Now, thanks to YOU Myla, my dinner tonight will be cinnamon on top of some rice pudding, a huge slice of coconut cream pie, followed by some carrot cake, and then to top it all off, we will have Klondike Bars!!! My DH is going to LOVE you!!!
No matter where I do today, it seems that YOU have been there talking about food!!

YOU are the evile one because you dared mention cinnamon...with my beloved RICE PUDDING! OMG! I can no longer get Americana rice pudding anywerhe it seems, only Uncle Bens, which I don't think is nearly as good. I long for Americana rice pudding. WITH LOTS OF CINNAMON! OMG! Talk about starting a maddening craving. *sigh*
I do make a home made variety that has a hint of almond that is way good, but it still isn't as good as Americana.
And then there are cinnamon rolls with that cream cheese frosting...

I liked the Americana vanilla pudding too ~~I guess they don't make it anymore.
I used to love it in my Trifle...layer the lady fingers on the bottom of a huge glass bowl, pour on raspberry jello and let that set and then layer all different fruits on top followed by a huge layer of whipped cream!
OHhhhhhhhhh....I LOVE trifle so much!!!
The rice pudding must have been really good. I usually like the Kozy Shack in a pinch. Oh....I need to go to the food store immediately!!!

I loved Americana Rice pudding too!! Waaaa! I want it back! Maybe we can start a petition! But put nutmeg on it ..... No, not your cat!

Oh yes the Purr Man is still BLOO, LOL And you with your cookie kitty called OREO! HA HA! My very favorite cookie, double stuff Oreos! YEE HAW! That and a glass of milk made me many a college supper. :lol:

We have a blueberry/peach pie made by a local farm family with local ingredients. This is the REAL Americana!! We're going to eat some of it tonight. There, I've said it!
