What a day yesterday! :-D Could I be so lucky and have a repeat today? Inquiring minds want to know! It was really a fantastic day yesterday - Mannie managed to maintain a low to mid blue cycle throughout the day. And no bounce this morning!, though the morning is still young.... :? We have a 222 to start, and I do look forward to what today will bring.

It's been a normal morning for Mannie - breffis #1, and #2 eaten, no crumbs left. Preening, purring and LB accounted for. He was my supervisor this morning while I got ready - funny how he sits there and watches every move, purrs the entire time. The interior perimeter had been patrolled: he now sits in his spot by the open window - nose pressed to the screen, sniffs a plenty, on high alert. :cool: Soon the outdoor perimeter will be patrolled too.

Not too sure what all the day will bring for me - trip to Seattle to visit friends this afternoon, yard work yet again: ugh! though Mannie loves it. yesterday he spent the afternoon sprawled on the lawn, soaking up the rays (when they showed) while I worked.

Hi Michelle, It would be great for Mannie to have a repeat of yesterday! Enjoy your trip to Seattle and your yard work (I don't really do yard work anymore, I just let what is there fight it out; the previous owners were gardeners and they must cringe if they ever drive by their old house!!) But we moved up here for paddling in the warmer months, not gardening!!

Hi guys, and thanks! We too hope for a repeat of yesterday - so far it looks like the color of the day is yellow. Even so - for once we didn't get that pink bounce that he usually does. Looking not too bad so far, hoping for blues later on.

Hear ya on the yard work Ella. If there was a choice, it would be the last on my list.... but right now it is a mess, and I just decided this summer I would fix it - well try too anyways, but I think the yard will win out over all. :-D If I were you I'd choose paddling over yarding any day.

And Thanks Sienne - I do too. Yesterday was really a great day for him - nice and flat. And I too thought today was a good start. I hope he can maintain this, that we don't start creeping up. Paws crossed!

Here I am cleaning the kitchen, and in walks Mannie. Sits in his test spot, and begins the stare down. hmmmm I think - not the normal time, had better listen as this usually means something is up. hey - voila! holding steady at 155. I love this cat - it was like he was saying "see all is well, now go and have time with your friends"... OR: he wants me gone so all his buddies can come. HAHA! And what to believe... :shock: :lol: :lol:

and so far we are once again, holding that flat curve. blue. I can accept that - just very nice for such a bouncy rubbery kitty.

So great to see Mannie in the blues today...and no B**nce either! Wow! So impressive!!!
I told Shadow that you were getting wonderful numbers today and he muttered something that sounded like "showoff" under his breath and then he said "That's such good news" and smiled sweetly.
maybe he feels bad cause he is up on the Pink floor today...no parties going on up there! :lol:

Hi Pat! :lol: :lol: on the showoff - indeed Mannie tends to strut his stuff when he is looking good. Shadow is no dummie :lol: :lol: Oh I can just see that sweet smile. Too funny. But yes - the blues the past two days have been nice to see. I keep hoping every time I test that they are still there....

I have begged and everything to get my bean to order some, and everyday I check the mail and stuff, and no cubes! :sad: You'd think with these great numbers she'd cave and stuff. but nooooooooo! silly bean. Hey Mannie, What a great idea for us to keep you company while your mamabean goes to Seattle! We are having a wonderful time, surfing and eating good food. Nice to see the girls: Tess, Buzz and Emma. A couple of suggestions...

Like Mannie, Gabby can have her numbers drop early. I've started to get a +1, especially when her PS is blue. I suspect if you had the +1, you would have had a better sense of where Mannie's numbers were heading and could have intervened earlier with HC.

I have been thinking a lot about Mannie's SS. What would you think about jumping in with some MC or HC if Mannie drops more than 100 points in an hour or two? I'm wondering if slowing Mannie's drops will prevent some of the bounces.

Hi Sienne - and thanks! I agree! I think that when I see a ps number that is that low I had better get a +1. I would have had a better handle on this evening than I do now. If I have a +1, or a +2 that is lower, I do feed HC. I recently changed that - from MC to HC, as I remember your bringing that to my attention earlier. I do believe that this has helped slow things up - not always but for the most part: yes.

and yes when the drops are more than 100 point in an hour, no matter where he is in the cycle, I will give him MC or HC depending on how great the drop is. I have started to do that - and it does make a difference, and helps maintain a more even cycle. I know that sometimes my SS doesn't always indicate that - a mental block on my part - something I need to do better with. It is on my posts, but not always on my SS.

Way to go, Michelle and Manny! Kitties are doing some wacky things today...some of them good wacky and some of them not! We spent the first 4 hours in the 50s this morning! Sheesh! Keep up the great numbers!!
