Our continued prayers are with Mariko and Ginger. We are so sad for them that Lucy has crossed but know all our GAs, FD and civvie, have greeted her and made her feel welcome. Sending tons of healing vines to JD, Zener, Trix, Sasha, Lovey, Sabrina, Elise's Mom, Tricia, Wendy's Mom, Molly's Mom and Dad. Cheering Lola, Mottyl, and Mona on their OTJ Trials.
The wee bonnie lassie is pouting in her shoebox now because we made her come in from the catio. She is doing great (touch wood) although tomorrow is a vetty visit for she and Tobey. It's a follow-up for her from the ear issues (her ears are gads better) and Tobey's six month checkup. I know he needs a dental and will also discuss that with Dr. B for Gracie. She's 8 now and has never had one but her teeth look great.
We've had challenges lately with her (and Tobey) not wanting to eat the WN, as I have mentioned before. She likes the Weruva but it is so low calorie that we have to feed her a ton and then I worry she will be too full if we need to steer her numbers. I do not think that the Weruva foods were raising her BG. We decided to try the Merrick Purrfect Bistro and Pate foods. There are six that are in the 4-6% range (Grammy's Pot Pie, Thanksgiving Day Dinner, Turducken, beef pate, duck pate, and turkey pate). Dr. Lisa has these updated on the food list but there is no phosphorus value so I'm trying to get that and I'll share it with her and you all. We were using Pet Guard Premium Feast 10% to control her lows and drops but she just doesn't like it. I bought some Avoderm chicken/duck in gravy in pouches and gave it to her this morning and she loved it and it leveled her off. The % carbs are 17% which is higher than I like but the calories are low. That might allow us to feed her much less of it to get her to level off and she wouldn't be getting a lot of extra calories. And perhaps no karo. One can hope.
Have a super day!
