Yesterday's condo

Well, I got some good news....and some bad news! The good news is I found a store that has 6 bags of the "old" formula of the Natures Variety Raw chicken medallions that China loves! YEAH!!!!

The bad news is that they're in Columbia, Mo....a several hour trip! BOO!!! Guess I don't have much choice though if I want to keep her on it. She refuses to eat their new "Bites" made for cats and the new formula in the medallions is also "Icky" (her words, not mine...lol)

Then it has to rain today on top of it! Wasn't supposed to rain any of this week! Everyone has been saying "we need some rain", but none was in the forecast for this week at all, so when I saw wet pavement and dripping trees this morning, it kind of surprised me! Of course that explains why yesterday was a bad pain day

Going to stick close to home until China's either on her way up or I know for sure she's surfing since it'll be a long day of driving.

Guess China decided a quick dip was best, today. No fun swimming in the rain!

Yay for finding the food. Bummer that it's so far away. I hope you were able to get over there an back safely, once China cooperated. Cinco is in blue today, so I'm sure he'll be hanging with her.

I hope this batch of food meets with Her Royal Highness' approval and isn't "icky"! :lol:

Nice numbers for China today. I hope the drive isn't a bad one to get the food. I'm glad you were able to find some.

After a nice 5 hour drive, I'm stocked up in cat food for awhile I think! Got 5 bags of what I think is the old formula Nature's Variety. The "best if used by" date on these is Oct 15, 2014 and on their website, it says the formula was changed to the new recipe on bags marked "use by 4/15/15" and newer so since this stuff is older, it should be the old formula!

Only had 1/2 a medallion left of the old stuff so she got it for PMPS...I'll know for sure soon when I offer some of the new stuff. If she eats it, we're good! (at least for awhile)

I wish someone carried Rad Cat, but the closest place that does is in Colorado or Texas and it would cost me more to ship it than it costs!

Sending, let's see....hrmmmm...."please let this be the old formula that China will eat" vines? ;-)

The only places that carry the Natures Variety Frozen raw that are closer only have the new formula! I didn't want to drive that far, but they didn't give any advance notice of the food change so all the sudden China just stopped being willing to eat it. I was thrilled to find the 5 bags I got today so it at least gives me some time to transition her onto something else

The store I bought it at said they had talked to their Natures Variety representative and he said they were getting lots of complaints. If enough people call and complain, maybe they'll change it back!

Loving this PM cycle...especially for China! I might even get to go to bed at a reasonable hour!..lol

I am glad you were able to find the old formula. The 5 hours is definitely worth China eating. I hope they go back to the older formula, but at least you have time if they don't.

I am glad that you can get some sleep. China was saying "thank you" for her food.
