Hi everyone,

This is my first condo. I had no idea how to do a “condo” until I saw instructions on someone else’s Feline Health thread. I think I put the recap first. I posted a thread yesterday because I expected to see Casey's BG to go down when I came home at lunch to test her, but saw this instead. I was very frustrated this morning, seeing Casey's PS BG#'s going up like this; it feels like they are going in the wrong direction! This evening I was releaved to finally a PS # lower than the previous!! Also, I was not able to do tests in between today, which I guess gave her a break from yesterday. She was terrible about getting tested by last night and this morning.

Unusually so, she at the entire 3oz FF by +2...she usually does not indulge like that.
+2~195 going to put out 1/2 can FF - it will be the lowest carb I have inhouse, since she has eaten lots already.
+4.5~159 - not too bad for eating more than usual. I am letting her eat as much as she wants until her diabetes is more regulated.

I do not know if I did this correcly, or if I need to add anything else.

Welcome Roberta & Casey!! You did great! PMPS is looking good. It will get easier when you keep Casey on a consistent dose for a few days and let the Lantus shed fill.

This is a great board with very helpful caring people. You will be asked a lot of questions in the beginning but it is all to help you and Casey. Feel free to ask any questions!

Hi Roberta!

It's not necessary to post a recap of the previous day's numbers. You're perfectly welcome to do so but your SS should contain all of the up to date numbers. (I'm lazy. I don't like to do double the work!!) I personally like the color coding on a SS, but that's me.

We do like to hear how Casey is doing. You kitty is more than just her numbers. Many people report on the 5 Ps -- peeing, pooping, purring, preening, and playing. It lets us know about whether behavior is normal. Of course, we LOVE hearing about both silly and charming stuff, too.

Casey's numbers look fine. You're not going to see a totally flat curve - at least not yet. It's been only 10 days. I would suggest sticking with the 1.0u dose for a little longer. You're seeing some nadirs that are under 200 and Casey is not bouncing into higher ranges. Just remember, Lantus likes both consistency and patience.

Hi Roberta and Casey - welcome aboard. I think you did great!!! You can really put in anything you want in a condo that is about Casey and how she is doing. I really like the day before RECAPS, but not everyone does those - I like them since you can see what happened the day before. Everyone here has their own style, I'm sure you'll find what works for you too. The bottom line is we want to hear how she is doing - she is more than just numbers. I lvoe hearing about the kitties - what antics they have been up to etc.

Welcome aboard - I hope you'll post a daily condo so we can all get to know Casey.

Her numbers looks great so far. What Sienne wrote at the end of her post is important - Lantus takes patience, it loves consistency. Feel free at any time to ask questions!

lol...I am working on both, but sometimes panic and/or worry seem to override patience...lol

hi roberta! yay for finding your way here! you're doing great and i think casey is responding as expected. the great thing about the spreadsheet is that as you fill it out with test results you'll begin to see patterns emerge. then you'll get AH HA moments as someone explains how the lantus is working and you'll be able to actually see it. it's awesome!

i learned a ton by reading other people's condos - it's really interesting. lots of different options and you'll see how different folks do things. feel free to comment or ask questions as you look!

Hello and welcome!! Great first condo indeed! Casey has some nice numbers going! You may need to invest in some of these as you embark on this journey!! :lol: :lol: :lol: Gracie's bean Marjorie swears you can get them at Chico's too!!! :lol: :lol:

ohmygosh christie - those are the ugliest patience pants i've ever seen! :lol: marjorie found me some sparkly yellow ones, maybe she has a better pair for roberta.

i hope i didn't just insult you and those are your most favorite pants ever and you own 12 pair of them in your closet right now! :shock:

OMG Christie....where have you BEEN????? I got rid of those a long time ago. Here are my current patience pants which are now part of the Sisterhood of the Travelling Patience Pants. These are the yellow ones:
