Not to sure what to think of Rockys numbers the last 3 days, the AM he has been in the 100s fallowed by 200's then 300
 
When you skip the morning dose he goes high at night. You need a dose you can shoot every 12 hours. Lantus likes consistency.

A housekeeping reminder. Please limit yourself to one condo a day as there are so many posting and not all you have to say will be seen by all.

Sorry sometimes i post in the Maine fourm and ppl suggest i post in the Lantus so i never know which one is best to ask. I am worried about giving him a shot in the AM when his BG is coming back as "normal" . never had a hypo episode and dont want to.

Don't apologize. I just want to make sure that we see the whole picture for anyone giving you advice. I'm sorry if I made you feel like I didn't want you to post. I hope you post here daily.

I understand not wanting a hypo. I never had ond with symptoms but did have a couple scary numbers. That's why I suggest a lower dose so that you can shoot every 12 hours. He's getting a really good response but to be in normal numbers most of the time I think once a day won't be the way to get there.

I hope that dose works well. Finding the nadir is tricky sometimes (at least for some kitties like mine), but it can really surprise you how low they go even when their AMPS and PMPS are up in the yellows or even pinks. And dosing off a number that's tricky to find is a challenge, but that's the way Lantus works. Someone said their cat's nadir was at +3 (except when it wasn't). That's about how it goes too. Callie's is usually closer to the middle of the cycle (except when it's not). LOL :bighug:
