Yep. Feb 13th. I used to use the name Amethyst as a screen name in an online game I played for a couple years.... So your kitty's name caught my attention right away.

Oh! Some sites list June as "light amethyst" so I guess you are right too... I never heard of that. I always heard alexandrite and pearl (my son is a June bday)

I thought I was going crazy. My mom had bought me a birthstone ring for my 14th bday and I could have sworn it was amethyst. That ring was so special to me. It got stolen years ago when our house got broke into.
I knew about alexandrite and pearl.
