Re: 8/31 Zener PMPS 163;+2.5 248
Well, the dosecrease threat seemed to work for a bit. Now, back up to sunny yellow. This is cycle 6 since the last shave reduction so unless numbers do better tonight, more juice tomorrow morning. We were a little leary of adding more juice tonight with what looked like a day long slide. Zener is feeling fine, happy appy, yard patrol and lap time with MamaLizBean. It's been a good day despite more yellow than we like.
We learned tonight we've been mistaken on Zener's dose of Cerenia since we started the tablets as a long-term med for his IBD months ago.

Thanks to Sienne for educating us about how blister packs are measured. We thought our 16mg blister back of 4 Cerenia tablets meant each tablet was 4mg for a total of 16mg. We give Zener 1/4 tablet 3x/week so we've been writing in his condo, SS and telling anyone who asked about his dose, that he was getting 1mg as we cut the tablets into quarters. And boy howdy, we were so wrong! The tablets are 16 mg each, so getting 1/4 tablet means he has been getting 4mg of Cerenia three times per week. We sure hope that our mistake hasn't messed up anyone else! The recommended dose, thanks to Marje's primer on pancreatitis is 0.5mg/lb or 1mg/kg, so Zener could take up to 6-ish mg so thank goodness we haven't been giving the guy too much!
@Josie & Ripley - the Queen of Everything (QOE) aka Tillie has forgiven her loyal subjects, so all is well this evening. Dosecrease threat still out there tonight. @-)
@Pam & Hoot - Tillie often lectures us, some are more dramatic than others. ;-) Zener came down, but has popped back up. We'll see how things are in the morning.
@carla - it was a full day of happy appy!
@Cleo & Jane - Tillie has forgiven us and her likely revenge was a very stinky poo in the LB in my office.

Chief Inspector Crapdash often uses her bird binoculars to watch for poo production when Zener is in his favorite spot in the yard. This morning Detective Poo spotted a deposit in progress with no magnification needed. It was quite impressive.
@Jamie & Jupiter - we got a touch of blue at PMPS, but now on the up escalator. More juice is on the way. Mamas need some blues and greens.
@Ann & Tess - well, he did his best and got to mid-blue. Dose threat still in place. Yes, on the calming treats for the Queen!
@Barb & Checkers - you are SO right, there's always something worse!
@mariko - paws crossed for Ms Lucy, we hope she is feeling chatty soon. Nothing like a long conversation in cat to warm a bean's heart. :YMHUG:
@Amy & TrixieCat - happy appy is priceless. And there always more juice.
@rhiannon and shadow -
@Ella & Rusty - yep, defnitely working the flat yellows. Tomorrow morning is J-day, unless there's a trip to the lagoon tonight.
@Dyana - it was a lovely PMPS, but he didn't stay down long.
@John - our special guy did his best to bring the numbers down and work the juice. Looks like he just needs more joy juice.
@Nancy & Pepper - well, he took it seriously for a few hours anyway.
@Wendy & Neko - GREAT SLIDE into the blue shoot by the black cat. LOVE it!
@Deborah & Shasta - we suspect he got a text message from Neko. Z did his best to slide and hold it down, and it's not to be.
The night duty bean is getting off easy again tonight. Hope everyone has sweet dreams. Ni ni LL. I-)
