Two cycles in a row now of better pre-shots...hopefully a sign of things to come!

We're really praying for Melissa and Tarragon over here, remembering how strong the power of LL prayers are.

A nice start to the evening, too!

We have no power, though!!! We make it through Irene with barely a flicker, and today - beautiful skies, barely a breeze - and boom, out to the lights! Fortunately it was light enough for me to get through test/feed/shoot...I just hope they're not off for too long, or we may have sump pump troubles. After tending to the herd, I headed back to work for computer access...

I got my senior civvie, Mario's bloodwork back today. His kidneys are still stable, and his ALT is still elevated (of course I didn't think to get the exact number, but it's over 300). The vet gave me two options: be conservative and try the supplement, then retest in a couple months; or do an ultrasound. Since Mario is happy and behaving completely normally, I did opt for the conservative approach - since vet visits are pretty darned stressful for him, I didn't want to put him through an ultrasound just yet.

Sorry about the power situation. I wonder if with the clean up, someone cut into a cable.

It looks like another blue/green day for Trixie.

Power's back on - phew! Rumor has it the electric company intentionally cut it while crews worked on a fallen tree a few blocks away. I hope that's that!

We were headed for Harold's deli in Edison, NJ after I had called in the am & they were open, get to the Outerbridge & DS calls & says --it's closed-No electricity! ohmygod_smile
And as we fled from here to Conn. we lost the lites there too! ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile

Glad Mario's bloodwork is stable & Trix looks real ral good! Have a good nite-Hugs from us!!!

What supplement did she recommend? Glad his kidneys are stable - that's good news.

I don't remember off the top of my head, because Marjorie suggested one to me in a PM (which I still have to go back and re-read). The one my vet originally suggested was a capsule that I would probably never be able to get into Mario - he's a bear to pill. Marjorie suggested one that is small enough for a pill pocket. Yep, I'm going with Marjorie's suggestion over the vet's. I do trust and really like my vet, but, well, you know how strong the knowledge here in LL is!

I've never been to Harold's (I don't eat meat, so there's probably not much point), but I have heard the serving sizes are outrageous!! The off and on power outages around here are crazy and frustrating right now....
