Good morning, everyone!

As I mentioned in the above thread title, AMPS is 268.

Bedtime BG last night was 271.

I will get more tests in today, as I can, hoping for a +2, +5 and a +7, or at least a + 2 and +7.

Dose increase coming? What say you?

I would increase. You have given this dose long enough. She did not make her way back to greens after the PM of the 25th and she has had more than 6 cycles to clear the bounce. I would increase tonight as long as you are around to monitor.

By the way, what is the typical pattern of monitoring? Is it feed, test, dose, or test, dose, feed?

Fed at 7, PMPS is 238 after eating/7:30 PM, 2 U Lantus given at 7:35 PM.

We are in Pittsburgh, PA, EST time.

I will do a +2 (9:30 PM), +3 (10:30 PM) and +4 (11:30 PM) test, unless someone tells me to also get a +1.
After the +4 read I will see if I need to do more monitoring.

It is test, feed, shoot or we call it T/F/S

I think you will be fine getting a +2 since her PMPS number is not a low number.

LOL, actually it's Test, Feed, Shoot (TFS). Start with a +2 and go from there, you may not need to do more frequent tests, just depends on what you see. Sometimes they don't do much on the cycle of the increase.

Here's why we want you to do it T/F/S.......what it you get a super low pre shot number? We would have you stall without feeding and see if she will come up to a safe number to shoot.

Correct, stalling and not feeding or giving the insulin. Waiting 20 minutes and then retest and if number comes up to a safe shootable number ( I know that is not a word, but here it is, LOL ) then giving insulin. That is why we say T/F/S

Sole isn't really making any fancy moves, it's up to you, but I wouldn't bother with a +3, and just get one more before bed, but then test strips are expensive in Canada .

I think since she is higher at the +2, AND she is not in lower numbers, give her a pokey break and grab a test before you go to bed. At that test, if she goes higher or stays flat, get some sleep.

Well, as @Bobbie And Bubba mentioned, it depends on the before bed test, if it's flat or higher, I can't see the need to set an alarm for another test.
