so he has dropped all the way from amps to pmps.
i am going to get a morning plus 6 before i go to work in the morning. isn't it odd that he drops all the way to pmps?? as usual, i am confused.
Linda, you suggest i am maybe giving too much insulin? i did start this whole process out at .5 about 6 weeks ago and have been raising since then. as he is still on a small amount of dry d/m i assume this is screwing everything up. waiting for zero carb food to come in. i can't wait to see what his next plus 6 is. what do you think folks? thanks.

yep, I think he is getting too much insulin. If he were mine, i would drop back down to 1.5 and hold tight. Get that dry food gone as soon as you can. Some tricks to get them on wet food include garnishing it with ground up cat treats, some dehydrated chicken breast, or parmesaen cheese.

How often do you feed?
Prop usually have food spike the first 0-3 hours, smal drop at +4, and a pretty big drop from +4-6. Then she eat and surf and begin to get higher numbers slowly until ps. If she dont eat at +6 she will continue to drop a bit and next preshot will be lower than normal.

well, that would depend on the cat. Does kitty eat huge meals? Or does she nibble enough to feel not starving and then walk away. Also, is the cat over or underweight?

I feed my cats small meals, more often. At a minimum, twice a day, but the reality is they eat at least 4 times a day. If you have to be away from home, consider leaving wet food that you have frozen... they nibble as it thaws, and it stays fresh.
