I thought I would start posting in this forum as well. I usually post in Relaxed Lantus, but Cedric switched from Lantus to Levemir in mid-May. He's doing better on Lev, but had an attack of accute pancreatitis last month, coupled with DKA, so he's struggling to get regulated. I keep both his original sheet and his Lev sheet in the signature updated. If you are interested in his pre-Lev history, looks at his old sheet. Current time is the same.

Headed off to Kennedy Space Center today, since I got some one to take my shift at my part time job at Disney (I work 2 jobs, 7 days a week - need it after Cedric's $5k vet bill!)
Have a great day!

Hope you enjoyed your visit to the Kennedy Space Center. It's a pretty awesome place.

So sorry to hear about Cedric's bout with p-titis and DKA. That must be awful to go through for both of you. How is his appetite now? I noticed on his SS that he has had some sudden low PS's. Do you think that is from not eating as much? Cami can throw numbers like that if she hasn't eaten normally for 12-24 hrs.

In fact, his numbers look a lot like the ones I was getting from Cami recently - high 200s and 300s. Her numbers improved when the dose got high enough and there was a marked difference between 1.75u and 2u. I would suggest slowly raising him, letting it settle for 3-5 days and then do some spot checks for a nadir and increase again if needed. Are you gone for long hours? I know that make it nerve wracking when he can throw low numbers with no warning.

His numbers haven't been low since that 44 a couple of weeks ago.
I started raising his dose on the pm injection on Thursday. His numbers just seem to keep going up (see today's condo). He's acting normal and eating normal. The doc asked me to not give him 2 snacks during the day - cut him back to one. He thinks the snacks/food is keeping his daytime numbers high.

I work 7 days a week and am usually gone about 7.5 hours on the weekend at my p/t job and about 10.5 hours during the week at my f/t job. There is no one else here to test him (I live alone). I am home all day tomorrow though. Hopefully his curve will be better than it usually is....
