A restful night for the bean. Although I feel like I could sleep another 4 hours:rolleyes:

Hope all the kitties are doing and feeling good!

Odd numbers today. Since I record off line too the only thing that was "different" instead of shooting in the scruff between the shoulders I tried for the left side, above the thigh this morning and I wonder if I went into muscle. Or Beenie is just making things interesting because it was almost too predicable.

Bummer, first yellow in six days. :( The larger depot takes 4-6 cycles to deplete. This could be telling you what 12 is capable of. Or not. Let's see what the cat has in mind. :cat:

Good to keep track of shot location. Some people have found zones that don't seem to be as effective. I almost always shot scruff to shoulders, alternating left and right. I did try a few flank shots when I was also giving fluids. Not much difference.

I always shoot in the scruff and try to vary the locations within that area but lately it feels thicker or tough to me. So I thought I'd try elsewhere and give that region a break. So we shall see:rolleyes:
Do people do this for themselves? Just occurred to me:woot:. Is there a HDMB?:bookworm:

I tried once in the beginning to use his scruff but it's tight to hard to tent any skin...ESP since I'm shooting him while he eats (jaw muscle restriction). The flank works well for him...but understand I need to shoot the R in the scruff...so the closest I can prob get is slightly above and between the should blades. Sheesh Jimmy. Lol

Beenie is responding really well. How is he acting? Are you seeing well being improvements?

On paper yes, but I wish she was a little more like her 'ol self. She's still recovering from whatever she had (suspect sinus infection) and has improved. Haven't heard her cough or wheeze in a few days so that's good. She just has spurts of her old self but very short. The other night she jumped onto the kitchen window sill then onto the ktichen counter which she hasn't done in a while. Overall its just a very slow "recovery". In the grand scheme it hasn't been long and what I do notice is her neuropathy is getting better. Her rear paws don't slip from under her like they used to. She is able to jump up without much trouble.

How is Jimmy's doing? Is he playful and acting like himself?

That's great! Jumping is a good thing.

He's doing well despite his numbers. I know when he's going to have a good day when I wake up and he's laying next to me. He and Marley (civvie sister) have been running around and tearing up and down the stairs the past few mornings at dawn. His urine output is high but understandable. Tried to get a ketone test but he's taken to peeing in the very back of the litter.

His +2 this morning is 338 down from AMPS of 398 so dose increase is working so far. Woot.

These kitties sure do keep us on our toes...head bumps to Beenie for a good day.
