Uneventful cycles for both boys yesterday, but it looks like Walter might be on a mission today. I am taking Iris and Flora to the vet in a little bit, but I am home for most of the day (I only teach a night class on Tuesdays).

I already walked the pups bright and early this morning hoping that I could avoid the mosquitoes, but no such luck. Ever since we got the torrential rain 2 weeks ago, they have been horrible.

Walter behave while mama bean takes the kitts to the vet please. Hopefully Mandarin will work his way back down nice and easy this time. Yuk on the mosquitoes...they are so annoying! Lots of vetty vines for the girls today.

I know what you mean about the mosquitos - I'm with my Mom in South Bend now and the mosquitos are terrible- we don't have to worry about zika up here but West Nile cases are starting up

Walter - nice to see the blue!!

Longest vet appointment ever. Well, in all fairness, it's a 40-minute drive each way, so the actual appointment probably wasn't that long.

Good news for Iris: she sounds a lot better now that she is finally off the ABs. The vet wants me to continue the Lysine and probiotics and we will reassess in a week or two to see if she is well enough to get spayed.

Flora is down to 2.5 pounds again. :( At almost 4 months, she should weigh at least 4 pounds, but she is underweight and tiny for her age. She was running a fever and had almost liquid stool and an extended belly. The vet did an ultrasound that looked perfectly normal (just very gassy). She was most concerned about free fluid in her abdomen (which could have been a sign of FIP) - but there's no indication of that. So she wants to run another fecal... but since it's cheaper to run that through the shelter, I will have to drop off a stool sample at the shelter tomorrow. If that is still negative, we will try a limited ingredient diet. No clue how I will pull that off without separating her from everyone else. :blackeye:

Since all of that took a lot longer than expected, Walter managed to once again drop into the 40s. I will test again shortly... so stay tuned for updates.

Oh Christina.........sigh......... glad Iris looks better but so sorry about poor Flora. Hope you get an answer soon.

Walter! I knew you looked like trouble this morning....... Hang in there Christina.

He's coming up slowly... very slowly. I'll still be around for another hour and a half, so I should be able to get at least 2 more tests. Luckily, he tends to be an early nadir cat... well, at least on most days he is.

Oh yes, I know St. Mary's well - my niece went there I know ND well too

It is a very small world indeed - can't believe college football is starting this weekend
Saint Mary's is a wonderful school...one of the best decisions I've ever made. I know about football season...I can't believe it, either. I haven't been back to campus for a game since '89...but one of these days!
