Good Afternoon, LL!

Tigger 8/28 condo

It's a lazy hot day here - too many bugs to work outside - hopefully a breeze will come up in a bit....for now, busy working on the 'puter.

Tigger's got all 5Ps going in good order today, not much happening with his dose increase yet, so I'm guessing his depot's still filling. He & Spankey had quite a tussle on the bed last night - complete with hissing & biting - my hand mostly when it got in the way trying to separate them in the dark while half asleep! ohmygod_smile

:?: Hey - I ran out of room in my SS & Docs asked if I wanted to add 10 lines, so I said ok. Got the lines, but they don't automatically color-code like the others did - is there something I'm doing wrong? Hope there's some techies out there with easy advice!

Take care everyone - healing & support vines to all in need, appy, poopy, sleepy vines, too! :YMHUG:

In future, I think it's easier to just copy lines and insert. But since you've added the lines, you have to change the formatting. Select the new lines and one row above that has the correct formatting, go to the Format menu, and select Conditional Formatting. A window should pop up that contains the colour coding rules. If it did, you selected the right lines. Select OK and you are done. If the window doesn't contain the colour coding rules you want, go back up one row in the SS and make sure it has the correct conditional formatting. I hope I explained that OK.

Oops on the biting! Time to work the juice Tigger.

You can also use the "paint format" button, which looks like a paint roller and should be in the upper left next to the print, redo and undo buttons. Here's Google Docs help information on using this tool:

Paint Format Tool
You can apply formatting or conditional formatting rules you've used on one set of cells to another separate set of cells using the Paint Format tool, where "paint" is used figuratively to describe copying the formatting rules. The types of formats that you can paint are style, fonts, number formats and conditional formatting.

Note: If the range of cells you're painting the formatting across is larger than the source area, the formatting will tile across the target area.

To paint formatting from one area across another area, follow these steps:

Select the range of cells that contain the formatting and/or conditional formatting rules you'd like to paint across another range of cells.

Click the Paintbrush toolbar icon.
Doing this will enter the spreadsheet into painter mode until you complete copying the cell formats or click the Paintbrush toolbar icon a second time.
Your selection will have an orange border around it.

Select the range of cells you'd like the formatting to be copied across. The cell formatting will then be applied to the range of cells you've selected.
This action will override any existing formatting set for the selected cells.
The range of cells you want the formatting to be copied across doesn't need to be adjacent to your original selection of cells.

Thanks Wendy & Amy, I 'sort' of have this figured out! I must've hit the wrong key somewhere along the line & cleared the format ohmygod_smile

Whew - been a long day & VERY HOT - 100 degrees in the shade under the trellis at 5:00PM

Hope everyone's having a great day - will touch base more tomorrow!
