Good Afternoon, Everyone,

I think Rusty's numbers are a bounce. Or else houseguest stress. Whatever. This morning's shot got in (I think) and I don't think we had a fur shot yesterday. (Last night at bedtime he was at 117.) Anyway, he seems fine otherwise. He was hunting grasshoppers in the garden in the late morning, caught one, played with it, ate it.

We finally got our NYC friend on a bus to NYC. The bus here still isn't running (roads are still closed), but we drove her up to Plattsburgh, where she was able to get the Montreal-NY bus late this morning. I'm assuming she got on it, since we haven't heard from her. I took the opportunity to go to the PetsMart in Plattsburgh, which was right down the highway from the bus terminal.
What a relief, for her as well as for us!! Now life can get back to normal (with the hurricane and the houseguest I feel like I've been on hiatus!)

Lots of chores to do now, but I'll be getting to condos later.

Rusty says hi to all kitties and beans.

Company is always stressful, no matter how much you love them. You have to cook real meals and actually talk.

Hope Rusty comes down for you today!! Get some rest Ella!

Ella: sorry to see Rusty up this high....not Rusty-like. Hope he comes down for you soon.....maybe after he settles back down after your friend is now gone.

Glad she got on the bus and can get home to her kitty. Hope you all have a great day.

Hi guys - so sorry that Rusty is this high - sure not Rusty numbers. Hopefully now that things are back to normal those numbers will come down again. Maybe having someone else in the house is more stressful to him that he lets on. Down you go Rusty - you can do it.

Love the grasshopper story... too funny. A tasty little snack, well deserved after all tat hunting...

I am glad that your friend was finally able to get on a bus for home - she must be relieved.

Enjoy your day!

Rusty! DUDE! Meet at Gracie's? I so need the pool.... I had to go to the vetyy today... NOT FUN! See you there?~~ Mannie

Hi Ella, I bet it was stress, too! Rusty sure came down nice today. Cute with the grasshoppers. So glad your friend got on the bus even though a further drive to catch the bus. I'm sure she was anxious to get back home to kitty, and it was good for all of you, too. Hope the road closures don't last too long. In watching the Weather channel, the aftermath of Irene is so devastating for all those affected. Have a nice evening and scritches to Rusty.

Hi again, Rusty is doing OK this evening. Maybe we can get back to green soon on the new fattened dose. Rusty's scale arrived today in the mail. I put it on top of a box this afternoon (didn't have time today to set it up) and put the box in a place on my porch where he seldom goes. This evening he is checking out his scale!!!

Ni ni everyone. Special healing thoughts for Tarragon.

Ella & Rusty

p.s. My friend called from somewhere south of Albany. The bus had a flat tire!! I hope she's home by now, but at least she's closer than this morning!!

cool on the scale! It's all yours Rusty. I should get something like that - keep better track of his weight, oh btw: he lost some, per his visit today to the vet - a whole 6 ounces. there is hope!

oh no on the flat tire! I hope she made it home by now. what an adventure for her...
