Thanks for all the visits and advice yesterday. Re the raw food, might investigate when we get back. With five cats in the house it's a tad tricky. I have found that his numbers seem worse when he's on EVO super low carb though? who knows? he's definitely a mystery.
Will be reducing him to 1.5 for sitter.. and no, she won't be doing preshot tests either, hence my concern, but it was all fine last time and a .5 reduction will keep him safe even if it means he's in the high numbers when we get back.
today we start black, again, but a slower slide than normal into the red and hoping for some yellows this afternoon. We leave here at about 3:15 so I'll test before we go to get an idea of where he is headed. My sitter texts me with updates so I can always rethink dosage depending on how Rupert is reacting if necessary. I'm still fretting about our bigger trip next month (8 days away).. but will worry about that when the time comes I guess. hoping that between now and then he'll get a tad less bouncy and even see some lower numbers so that if/when he goes high when we are gone it won't do too much damage.
Rupie quite happy of course, out in the 'dent' in the lawn surveying the birds and enjoying the last warm days of summer. Oliver is thrashing the heck out of the nanner at the moment, ran in the room just now, leapt about 3 feet in the air, spun around and shot off again. funny when a big (and he's a BIG boy) ball of grey fluff does that! Bumley is on the couch guarding the other nanner and looking on with disdain, Sophie is sleeping on our bed, as usual (her job is to make sure the comforter doesn't fall off!).. and Polly is outside in her basket on the deck sleeping off what I suspect was yet another wild night of mouse and bunny chasing!
Hope everyone has a good day, we'll be back Saturday night, fingers crossed that Harvey keeps his brain and Ro remains a good boy as usual.
