The kitties didn't eat any of the EVO beef that was left out last night. I came down to sleep on the couch around 4:30 (too hot upstairs, even with the air on...old/weird house). A little while later, Johnny meowed from the kitchen. I showed him the food and said he had plenty. Mew! He finally took a few licks, but then walked away. Clearly, it wasn't what he wanted. I felt badly, but the thought of opening up a new can of something in the middle of the night was not appealing. Everyone would have come running and this might become a hard habit to break. I'm sure he'd eat it if he was really hungry, but I still wondered if having him skip night-time snacks would be detrimental. We have some 2% FF (can't think of which it is) that we could leave out, but I know we wanted to stay lower if possible.

I have a picky eater too, he'll just snub his nose in hopes of getting something better. It can be frustrating.
Johnny is doing good though, so hopefully the missed snack won't mess up these gorgeous numbers

Yes, Brian will get a 38/39 test in here soon. Last week of him being home and my eyes/ears during the day though! :o

Report from home is that Johnny was found nibbling on some plants just before the test. And about 25 minutes after the test, he threw up. Seems to be feeling fine and he definitely threw up plant. So, hopefully, that explains the high number. (please be so!) Brian will test again at +41.

I should add that breakfast was FF Fish & Shrimp (0%).

Johnny wouldn't eat the EVO chicken & turkey (0%) when offered for lunch. He hasn't eaten in a few hours. Brian's going to give him some 2% probably FF Chopped Grill Feast. Hopefully, he'll eat that. I'm not even going to speculate what he'll do.

I'm so frustrated with this ride!!!! Let me off!

Fed some 2% carb FF.
143 at +42.

This morning, we fed 0% carb and he kept climbing. The little bit of carb (he had about 1/8 of a can) he got after +41 seems to have helped him bring himself down. We're going to try this route and see what happens.

can you mark your SS with a * in the hours when you fed something? In both last night's cycle and this morning's (and yesterday morning if you remember).

I wonder if cats are like people, and they actually need some carbs sometimes? Interesting.

oh mine it shows up as footnotes! I think the popup box must be just for you as the owner. I can still see it to figure out what you did, though. I'm going to spend some time staring at his spreadsheet and see if I can come up with any good suggestions. I'm sure Jill will do the same.

Oh, man! That would be cool if you could also have the 3D experience. :lol: Do the little orange corners show up for you? If not, I'll add asterisks. No problem. Just more visual for you. We've been trying to stick with every four hours though.

Glad it helps. I'll try and keep up with my comments so that I can supply that info if you ask. The footnotes are likely more confusing to interpret than just asking and receiving info. :-D Thanks for studying. I'm thinking he may need a small amount of carbs. I'm interested to hear what you think, though. PMBG will be added in 10 minutes.

Just fed some more FF Beef and Liver (2%). We'll test in 3-4 hours, unless you would like an earlier number.

i'm banking on the numbers settling down after a bit. come on, johnny! you can do it!
 
I had to use small print because I left out a note the other night...when Johnny sky-dived at +1 (you likely remember!) and Brian went to bed in case he was needed to take over mid-night...the note said "No shot for J. Cat if he's below 150. Wake me up for more instructions, if needed." Wouldn't you know, Johnny pulled an exact 150 that morning! He can read!
