Yesterday's condo

China had a really nice day yesterday and I'm so pleased! We're expecting another day of 100 degree heat, so hopefully China will continue to relax in the wonderful lagoons. Dipped her paw into the green waters yesterday too!!

Hope all our kitties have a great Friday!! TGIF!!!

Nice blue start for China today. Hope she decides green is her color. This heat is silly. Hopefully it breaks soon. They say a cool front is coming through Tulsa Sunday and it will only be 93. :lol: Have a great day!

I know!! This has been one crazy summer! We had snow the first week of May (enough to shovel!!) and then didn't break 90 until August..and now we can't get it to come down again! But compared to last summer, when we had 100+ for over 100 days in a row, we really can't complain. My electric bill got a much needed break compared to last year!!

Soon enough, we'll all be complaining about how cold it is, how much snow we're shoveling, or the "fun" of having to go out driving on ice covered roads because we're out of cat food (remember when having MILK was the most important thing in the house?....LOL)

Wow Chris - looks like you get the worst of both seasons! I try not to complain too much about the heat in FL because I know winter is coming and it's sooooo beautiful!!! I couldn't handle the horrible heat in the summer AND miserable snow in the winter. You have central air? I never did when I lived in Pittsburgh, but I couldn't survive here without it. I rarely turn it off in the winter.

Happy to see China doing so well! I hope you guys have a nice Labor Day weekend!

Looks like China is working that juice today!! SO happy my mom is doing better so I could stay closer to home today (I had a feeling this morning)

They wanted to release her to a nursing home today but I called the social worker and told her I thought that was pretty insane since she hadn't eaten in a week, or been out of bed further than a bedside commode. She called the nursing home and they said they could admit her over the weekend if I went and filled out paperwork today so I ran over there. (And the doctor agreed to have physical therapy come by and get mom up walking a little so we bought an extra day at least...he'll re-evaluate her tomorrow)

When I walked in the door, I got the 49 so gave her a teaspoon of her regular LC plus a baby teaspoon of gravy....going to retest soon just to make sure she's headed up. She should be past her nadir..."should" being the important word there!!

Paws crossed things work out for your mom. It's amazing how often those "feelings" come true with our cats.

Yeah Wendy...so far, every time I've had one of those "feelings", she's been under 50...My China radar must be set pretty well! :-D

Of course, Know Thy Cat is what I'm sure I'm picking up on..although she doesn't act any different (at least nothing we're warned to watch for) "something" just isn't quite right..whether it's how she looks, how she's breathing, or how she's meowing,(or what?) I really don't know, but I'm really glad I'm so "in tune" with her
Looks like we're out of the danger zone....since I didn't give her much gravy, she's surfing nicely...it'll be interesting to see how high she bounces though.
