Good morning LL!

All 5 p's present this morning. Tarragon still hasn't had that b word yet after all the pretty greens yesterday. What is the deal with all blue and greens? Not sure what that is about, but I am one happy bean.

118 today. Will it ever end? It sure doesn't seem like it. The city is requiring mandatory water rationing beginning today. Lots of small fires here and there throughout the city as transformers aren't able to handle the load. We have lost two trees and our blackberry patch for sure and we have a sprinkler system.

Thinking of Roni & Moonie today! Healing vines to Rocket, Zen, and any other ailing kitties.

Tarragon is on a roll!!! Hope it continues! Would love to see a blue surf today, maybe dipping his toes into green!!

I can't believe your heat!! I think we changed environments or something. We usually have over 110 degree weather for a couple of months in a row and we've been under 105 almost all summer!!! And I've never heard of an ozone alert...but if it means you can wear jeans to work, woo hoo!!

i've been scratching my head on the connection between an ozone alert and wearing jeans to work . . .

my cousin lives in broken arrow - sounds like you guys are nearly in a state of crisis with this heat! that's so terrible!

118? OMG that is retarded heat, i don't know how you do it. I'd be packing my bags for the North Pole if i was you :lol: Plus water rationing? That's just scary.

Very nice numbers for Tarragon today, he had some greens yesterday? Such a good boy cat_pet_icon

An Ozone Alert is issued when the air quality is going to be bad. "Ozone Alert! is a voluntary emissions reduction initiative that asks people to do what they can to reduce pollution on the days it counts the most." So...you get the stink eye if you mow your lawn, fill up with gas, etc. on an Ozone Alert day. My company allows you to wear jeans on Ozone Alert days to make life easier since it is going to suck outside. :lol:

I'd rather not wear jeans in the heat, skirt or sundress is much better. Good for Tarragon with his numbers.

Hi Melissa, nice AMPS for Tarragon. The heat is terrible your way. Well, that's nice with the jeans and ozone alert. We used to have casual day every so often on Fridays where I worked, and we could wear jeans or nice casual clothes. It was the highlight of my week. Hope the weather breaks soon.

I hope Tarragon has a great day and stays in the lovely blues and greens. It makes all things easier when kitty has a good day in the cool colors.

I live in Tucson and we are having mild temps compared to you guys. 118 is awfully hot, even for the Southwest deserts so I totally empathize with you. Stay cool and stay hydrated.

just talked to my cousin in tulsa, since you reminded me of her - you guys need some relief. i can't believe how hot it has been there. yikes.

i like the idea of having my butt protected by jeans from the dreaded ozone. :lol:

When I saw that "118", like Bonnie I also thought maybe you were talking about T's BG and was thinking "Why is she complaining about 118? 118 is a great number!" :lol: :lol:

I love the heat, but 118 may be pushing it, even for me!

I was hoping he would level off. This is very un-Tarragonlike this early in his cycle. Maybe we have just finally turned a corner.

I thought ozone alerts were nationwide. Looks like it is just a Tulsa county thing. We have one of the worst air qualities in the nation. The EPA monitors our air quality and it is not good to be on their bad list. If you get onit 3 times in a year they start requiring certain things - car emmission standards for one. When it is really hot with no wind, they issue Ozone Alerts so that we all try and keep from getting on the list i.e. no mowing, putting gas in your car, carpooling, etc. My work allows us to wear jeans on those days. Wearing jeans is such a bonus because I have one less thing to think about. It might help that the denim keeps the ozone off my butt too! :lol:

Where I work you could wear pajamas to work and no one would care, in fact most ppl do wear pj bottoms to work at one time or another! :lol: :lol: at the ozone and butt comments. Crazy about being on the EPA's hit list. I had no idea such a thing existed down there, I'm so sheltered up here in the north :oops:

Michelle - No kidding! He has had an interesting few days since I got back. I'm not sure where all this came from, other than he just missed his mama. That or he just wants gravy. :lol: Either way, I'll take it, but I would really like to get some sleep now.

Patty - Message received! They obviously are plotting against us. Wish I had a chocolate eclair. :lol:
