Well, yesterday he had another hairball.....a healthy sized one too. He didn't want to eat after that...as usual. So, I tested him an hour after his normal snack...+9. Then at dinner time I gave him the Ondansetron and Cypro and he didn't want to eat until about +1. So, I gave him his shot then after he ate a little.
I was reading more about hairballs and some pages say the average amount is once per week. But others say it really is not something that they should be having. Cats in the zoo get them too....and one lion had a 4lb one surgically removed. sigh. At any rate, he has been taking the get each and every day with no problems. I am resigned to being thankful that he is at least passing them via the esophagus....if they will continue to ball up and be present, at least he is passing them.
The problem is that his stomach seems to sour to eating for awhile after he vomits one up.
(OT: We are busy tearing apart my closet in hopes of finding a leak which is affecting the bathroom wall in the downstairs renter's apartment. DH has been busy and so have I. He narrowed it down to the apartment next to ours....always something in the building......)
But, the kitties are a bit put out since they think of my walk-in closet as "their little bedroom" and are lost without their laundry baskets in there. LOL. Raja is doing well in spite of that......we are sending hugs to you all!
