At +3 we get . . . 53 again! I gave him HC, and he's gobbling it up.

I have to say I question this meter. It gets the same number twice in a row, and it gets a lot of numbers that end in zero. I never saw either of those things happen so often with the Micro.

Couldn't get strips for the Micro again. They were out! Unbelievable!

Since you gave him HC, you can wait an hour. I think he has onset. How comfortable are you in deling with his numbers now tonight? Are you going to sleep/ test?

Eta...just asking so I can lay down and set alarm to get up for your next text.

I'm okay with taking over from here. Just please tell me when I should test and when I can stop, in general, with of course the caveat that if he doesn't get above a certain number, I can't stop testing. Possible?

He seems to be staying pretty flat in his cycles. I would really like to see him above 70 or so after nadir with no food for a couple hours if possible before you stop. If he's up by his usual nadir, give him a couple hours before you test again.
be sure to get a +11 but if you are up with Emma at +9 or so, check him.

I'm Happy to set my alarm and get up. I told you I'd stay up with you and I will I'm very used to doing that and I can take mynipad to bed. I don't even need to turn on a light and Mike is gone so I can do whatever makes you feel most secure. Really!

If you would, just in case, I would appreciate it. I'll test him at 1:00 am. (+4) and 2:00 am until nadir which is usually +5.5, but I'll test at +6 instead of +5.5. I'll post within about 15 minutes of the top of the hour. He'll sleep in the room with me. How's that?

Here he is at 99 at +4, but I'll test at +5, too. If it's still up around 100, should I skip the +6? (I doubt it will be.) Now, I'm going to sleep with the alarm set for 1:55. Ugh!

Libby: Marje is awesome, isn't she? I have always needed a lot of sleep -- like at least 9 hours if not more! I had to adjust to having a baby keeping me up for 15 months, but after a while that was easier, and now this! I'm glad Marje is holding my hand!

Hi Dale. When the last time you fed? Remember Marje said earlier it'd be good to see Max above 70 *after* nadir, ideally, and not having had food for a couple of hours (since that's about how long it takes for carbs to clear).

Jane, its been an hour since he ate HC. I'm going to wait and hope he stays above 70 for the +5, but we'll see if Marje still wants me to get the +6. I'm not feeding him now, if that's a bad idea. He doesn't need it.

He's a grumpy old man. He'll grunt his disapproval when I pick him up to take him to the bed.

Wow...what a great number to give you a little more secure feeling :-D

Since you gave him HC, I want to be sure he's past +6. It should have worn off by then. If you hadn't already gone btb, I'd say just do that +6 test and not the +5. So...see you in an hour :-D

Ok, just to be clear, +6 is an hour and 40 minutes from now, right? His shot time is 9 pm, and its 1:20 now or is my clock off? Oh!!!! You think I'm going to get this message at +5. Ok, well, I can't let you get up alone, and me not be here. I'll see you at +5 unless I get a message that indicates you saw this and will see me at +6. Sleep tight!

I think I'm going to invest in No-Doz stock for everyone doing late-nights due to cats with low numbers. ;) Or maybe I should try to convince Starbucks to offer home delivery service?

He's at 76 at +6, and he's eating. There was some HC left on top of his LC. So, I think he'll be fine. What do you think?

Hi, Marje. He ate 1/2 hr before the last test of 89. So, if he comes down at AMPS thats why.
