Hello all -

The food saga continues... I try some, his sugar goes to the moon, I bring him back down with FF, and we try another!

ZD... not so good! Evo... great numbers. FF... predictable! Blue... Core... Wellness... mostly good!

Been worried about you 2!
Looks like are are still looking for a good diet?
What about raw food diet (personally could not feed that to my babies..yuk)
but you never know!
hopefully you will find something you both like and that will bring Grayson down!

Young lady - you've got some 'splaining to do! I looked for your condo and looked and looked and went to the Lev forum and looked and looked and looked...even went to PZI and NO GRAYSON CONDO! I was about ready to send out a search party!!!

Sorry you're having food issues. Honestly, it just looks to me like it would be worth it for a company or two to make a better cat food. With so many people reading labels these days, it looks like they'd do well, but nobody ever asks me... :YMSIGH: Hope you find something soon!

:lol: :lol: Yes... it reminds me of when Paulo's mom Nicki said "no more nursing! 15 weeks is enough!" He had a very difficult time adjusting. I cookef chicken breasts n California vegetable medly for him. Everyone else was jealous! When i had to to go out of town, i weaned him onto iams kitten w chicken broth on top. Three years, he wouldn't eat anything but that. Then adult iams... until a uti n suddenly royal canin urinary...then fancy feast w grayson. he's. a bit picky even if you dont know about the other issues. its a shame when you cook more for your pets than you do for yourself!!! Libby/Denise... this week was VERY busy at work...filling in for someone on vacation, n i don't know her job. not to mention sevsral of my own projects. and a roof in progress...did o mention we are no longer in a drought? ...yep, not a good time for the nearly 8" of rain this week! Ugh. and computer still not picking up internet at home, so lots of longer days at work. Am i forgiven?

Heading. go Phydeaux on Sunday w Janet n Binkys list in hand. Will get z variety of "fancy" food to try... I also arranged to get some fresh venison from a coworker next week. Still in search of rzbbit ...although it has to come on styrofoam w celophane...i can't see it in furry form. 6 mo as a vegetarian was enough.

Sounds like life with Trix. Any food she loves - even if it's LC - makes her BG go crazy, except FF. She gets great numbers on higher quality food, but she hates it. It's frustrating...I fought for years to avoid supermarket fuds, yet FF is the only thing she'll consistently eat that gives her stable numbers....

I've. spent months keeping him on the same ff chicken n ff turkey before realizing it was the insulin resistence n not the food that was giving me wonky numbers...and just when he's settled in to them nicely... I go n change it all up.Go figure!

Sounds like work is lots of fun. ;-) Glad y'all aren't in a drought...most of us still are...Have fun with the roof. :-D

Good luck with the food hunt Lu. I'm trying an experiment myself with Neko on Wellness canned for the next while. MUCH easier than traveling with raw.

Nice to see the almost blue on Grayson. IAA is supposed to be self limiting so here's hoping time is almost up!

I'm ready for my resistance time to be up!!! SHOW ME SOME BLUES!!! :!:

So I went to Phydeaux yesterday and got almost $100 worth of food in 20 minutes! Then I splurged for a $2.97 Happy Meal for dinner at McDonalds! :lol:

This morning I was looking at the very detailed receipt - ironically, although it seems like the food costs more, most of it was actually CHEAPER than Fancy Feast!!! :o No joke!!! The selection they have is great too! Pretty much all the names on Binky's and Hobo's lists.

So this morning I gave Grayson some EVO venison. Within about 15 minutes, I was cleaning it up off the floor! UGH!!! I thought we had tried this before, maybe it was just their chicken and turkey varieties. And I'm thinking my concern about red meat may have been right on. HOPEFULLY better luck w/ some rabbit. I like trying the new stuff at preshot, so I can see the impact of the food on "fasting" numbers. Most of the other foods, Core, Wellness and the various chicken or turkey types have been good. The "novel" proteins are hard to do though, if he's not able to digest the different NEW things. ...the search continues!

I felt that this weekend when it was time to cook Sneakers next batch of raw chicken. And by cooking I am being facetious- 10 minutes in the oven doesn't really constitute as cooked, does it? Well, another 272 ounces of chicken that will last... ??

Sorry to hear about the food problems- Sneakers has decided to boycott beef- after I bought a bunch of it... and crabs... and salmon... :? But she still likes the chicken at least. And the turkey. And anything with shrimp :lol: . But she has lowered her ounces by 6 consistently each day- saves me two FF that I can feed her tomorrow.

She's never been scarf n barf, thankfully. I once had one of those and it was horrible. Its been two weeks, hasn't it? Another 5 to go and we are LOOKING for those changes!
