Good evening,

Binie is bouncing today from a long string of blue numbers last night. I was happy she saw some blue again. I fed some 10 % snacks at +3 but besides only low carb. Maybe the 10 % was not necessary.

I still wonder if she needs an increase or not. Her overall bg became a bit higher and I don't like to see these red numbers we had in the last days or whole days in pink. And I don't understand why blue numbers still make her bounce so much. She should be used to that, right? I also wonder if the antibiotics made her bg higher so it will go down again the next days.

Tonight I am invited to go to a birthday party directly after the shot. Thank god it is in the same street, so I can always go home quickly to check on her. Since Binie is sick, it became so hard to leave the house. On the other hand I know, I should go out for my mental well-being.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Heike. You should be completely safe to go out tonight with the numbers she’s had lately. Even if she goes down, you will be close enough to run home. Have fun!

Hi Deb, thank you! I am home already. Binie didn't eat well before her shot and I was a bit worried. First I justed wanted to go home quickly and return but I ended up having a discussion "if it is worth it" to limit my personal freedom so much for a cat. I know this woman didn't mean to offend me but comments like this always make me tink, that I rather like to spend my time with Binie. :oops: Hope you are having a nice evening!

Hi Heike :)
I agree, you should go to take care of yourself. I know what you mean, how hard it gets to leave the house when you care for a sick kitty. We need to take any opportunity we can to enjoy and rest. care for the carer. I'm sorry it ended on such a bad note.

Some people just don't get a connection with animals. I got some very disturbing comments when Fistuk was diagnosed. Some were willing to just kill him. They have a nice name for it, to euthanise, but I call it by it's true name. But I know that these say things from the same place as they treat themselves. You're a great person to care deeply for Binie. And here we totally get that :joyful:

Paws crossed that Binie will get used to the blue numbers soon and stay more in the cool number. You'll also learn more about what works for her and her rhythms and that will also make things a bit more easy to manage.

Wishing you a restful night :bighug::bighug::bighug:

@Heike & BInie
@Fistuk & Shelly
When someone used to say things to me about Tyler about me worrying so much about him , or say oh it's just a cat ,Well I can't say here what I would say to them lol I would get kicked off here.
I do have a bad temper at times but I don't take crap from anyone.
People don't realize they are our children

Thank you Shelly and thank you Diane for your support! :bighug::bighug::bighug: Seems like we more or less all have to deal with jugements about how much effort we put in our cats and we hear the same things. It really gave me a bitter feeling yesterday but I try not to put too much energy in it. Binies well-being is my priority and if people judge me because of that, my only concern should be to re-think my relationship to them. I am so grateful to be here and have you guys around me, who also love their kittys so much. Hopy you enjoy your sunday! :bighug::bighug::bighug:
