AMPS - 248
+2 - 358(?)

Whoo! Her lowest pre-shot yet! But then I see the +2. ): I'm wondering if stress is part of it the +2. I know she isn't used to anyone but me testing her(even I have to help the vets test her or else she gets scared and whatnot). I was going to bake some chicken for Tip so my grandpa can get those to give her, get her used to him. But I was so busy, I didn't get around to it.

I don't think we have had a chance to stop by and say hello. Nice AMPS! Stress raises Tarragon's BG's so maybe that is it. They will get the hang of it. have a wonderful day!!

It raises Tips too, but I can never pin down by how much, guess it depends on how much. I know he's at least got the technique down for actually testing her(helps he's a diet controlled diabetic), just she can be really picky with who interacts with her and gets upset when that changes. He told me he was going to retest ~20 minutes ago, but just got back with me, he said her forgot, so I told him to not bother, but since he has a dr. appt at her +4, to set out food before he leaves so she can grab it if she's dropping quick, and if he's back in time, to test her at her +6.

Happy wednesday. :)

Hi Cindy

I was wondering whether you feed at shot time? And what you feed, if you do? Stress certainly can cause a spike, but it may also be a simple rise from food?

Happy Fursday

Yes, I feed Special Kitty right before shot time, I get the syringe and stuff prepared while she's eating. Close to ~4oz each. But I have been for a while and don't think I've seen a spike this big unless that 'Hi'(>500) on 8/21 was 530 or above. Just makes sense to attribute it to stress, given I'm not only abruptly gone now for most of the day, but a 'stranger' is taking care of her.

I hope so too. Should be able to bake that chicken tonight for my grandpa to use to help her warm up to it a bit. :) Definitely worked when I was first trying to test her.

Hi guys .. poor tip .. I am sure it is stressful for her, and for you as well .. don't worry, the chicken will help your grandpa and tip get along just fine .. :-D have a great day!
