In case you are not aware of this, it is the policy of FDBM (from the webmaster, Rebecca) to not condone off board advising. This is a copy of her policy from the How to Use the FDMB board. While those who have been here for some time are aware of this policy, given that you are relatively new, I'm assuming you were unaware that providing off-board advising is frowned upon. (I realize you're not the one dispensing the advice.) If anyone is providing you with guidance, could you please encourage them to post to Tigger's condo to avoid you're being put in an uncomfortable position.Brent/Tigger said:I just dosed him at 4:45pm as Gayle messaged me and is online.

I see a PMPS of 329
And it sounds like you fed him and waited for a rise -
Am I missing something?
hnkstr said:I actually delayed as I was waiting for advice!
I tested him at 4pm just to see where he was and saw the 329.
He had some food and jumped to 374 at 4:30pm so that is the PMPS i used.
I just dosed him at 4:45pm as Gayle messaged me and is online.
gayle, the point is FDMB laypersons/members have been asked to offer dosing advice openly on the board... in the spirit of peer review. as a member of the FDMB, you're aware of this. your "credentials" are not being questioned. although, no matter how long a layperson's list of credentials is, it doesn't mean they're "right" 100% of the time. posting publicly, on the FDMB, allows others to offer support and/or invite discussion in the event the advice is questionable.Gayle and Shadoe said:What would you like to know about the assistance Brent is receiving on the use of R with Tigger?
Do you need to know my experience with R, and would you like details for how I have used R for Shadoe and for Oliver?
I do have experience with R dosing for a cat positive for acromegaly as well as IAA.
Oliver received his first dose of R on March 24, 2010 at 8pm his +2 with the first dose being .2R
Over time, his R dose rose to 7u but he 'broke' on June04, 2010, after which time it is suspected that the IAA had been defeated because he stopped needing R after that date.
I feel that I am experienced enough to assist a new person starting the use of R.
There are several others with much more experience than mine, also able to help, and it is Brent's choice.
If a vet or some other person off-board were to give Brent some advice or suggestions, would you want those persons also to post in Brent's condo? I would imagine not, so I would think that Brent is more than capable of posting what actions he is taking without having to justify why he did what.
