? 8/29, Tango, AMPS 75, +1 75 , +2 95, +5.5 108 , +9 138 , +2 74, +3 63 Help

Very quick recovery. Even though high at pmps a +2 or before bed test might have given yiu a heads up. The depot might influence the next 4-6 cycles so get a +1 and +2 and feed mc if needed.

Usually the BG is higher after food - before the insulin onsets and brings down the BG - Tango is not seeing that today - which means he is continuing to head lower as he clears the bounce. I would feed a little HC, seeing how close he is to 68 even before insulin onsets. Like Elise said, the higher depot is still at play, so you might need to use higher carbs to keep him over 68 today.

Haven't had to use HC yet. Have Fussie Cat Squeeze Treats Chicken with Chicken Liver Puree. I don't see on food list, but on the BalanceIt calculator it says 23.76% carbs. Ash isn't listed so I used 3%.

I knew you were sleeping. And, you're up early! You're 12 1/2 hours ahead of us.

Tango's PMPS was 154. Will continue feeding lc and see what he does between now and tomorrow morning. I'll get at least a +1 and +2.

Thank you for checking in:cat:

Gave him Fussie Cat Squeeze Treats hc. He also ate his regular food. I thought I left it on the counter but I put it down and he got to it. He seems perfectly fine. He's resting in his normal spot.
I am around. Will watch out for the next test.

Like I said before, when a cat's pancreas flip a switch and wake up, it can be a hairy ride down the dosing ladder for the caregiver. :-)
