Hey Everybunny, I hope we had good nights, and are in for some good mornings.

As for us? Back to "normal", or normal-like for the morning. Including Bee's allergies. Argh. Rufus is full of himself this morning and out to have fun. We'll see how the day goes on... For now: time to pace the floor and get out some of the early-morning energy.

(Ugh. They always have "SPCA Sunday" on my local news station... I WANT KITTENS (now)!)

CHANGE THE CHANNEL....FAST!!!
Good luck Bee....kitten are irresistible...hope you have a great Sunday! Feel better..those allergies are not fun!

Re: 8/29 Rufus AMPS 266

Yeah, I really do want a pair of kittens in the house. We haven't had one in ages (or thirteen years) and I could really use some of the ruckus they cause. I swore to myself I would never adopt a "single" kitten again. I watched a pair of littermates playing on an adoption website, and I became convinced that kittens are happiest when they have someone to play with - who better than a brother or sister? :-D

Thank you! A cup of coffee, a box of tissues, and Sudafed PE works for me. Apparently I likely inherited the Ragweed allergy from Grandpa. I don't think that's the kind of thing he intended to pass down to me.

Today feels like a good day - I say we all have one, even if we have to wring it out. :-D

Re: 8/29 Rufus AMPS 266, +3 243

I should have waited to post that last one - I did a test just a little bit later.

Well, at +3 Rufus is 243, so he's on his way down. (Yay!)

He was such a little gentleman for the test! He wanted a treat very badly, I think, so he was sitting over on the ottoman where he eats his "thanks for showing up" treat, and I get everything ready. Since it was nearly +3, I decided to get a test in because he looked calm. I got ready and picked him up (purring), sat him diagonally across my lap, and scratched under his chin for a little while I told him what a good boy he was.

He sat patiently and I did the test - not enough blood. Darn. Usually he escapes as soon as we're done with the first test, but he waited for me this time - no fuss. I got the meter ready again, got another (large enough) sample, and there we have it. He hopped off my lap, sat on the ottoman, awaiting his "thanks for letting me test you" treat, and after that... well, he's napping there right now. This is the first time he's ever been so gracious about testing. We (Rufus and I) must be getting good at this.

WCR: We've got P's, for sure. Purring, preening, and pottying. We have yet to see any playing, but the day is young and there's a lot of sunshine coming in through the window right now - it is clearly sunbathing time, Mom, go away.

We'll bat some rattle balls around later. :-D

Yay, Roo! Looking good at +7. Lol... reading my last posts. When my medicine is first kicking in it makes me TALKATIVE. I chitter like a squirrel. I definitely feel sorry for whomever I manage to corner in person.

LMAO at "thanks for showing up" and "thanks for letting me test you" treats
Took quite a while for the civvies to stop hovering around Donny's shot time looking for handouts after he went OTJ.

Ha! Ha! The Adoptocats watch every time binks gets tested...and the look on their face clearly says..."look! she even rubs his ears sometimes until they bleed! why cant we get some of that kinda lovin'?" if they only knew...

"look! she even rubs his ears sometimes until they bleed!" Lol! I made a quip in the beginning about following Rufus around the house to fondle his ears - I think he still thinks I've gotten pretty weird lately. Regardless, he loves the increased attention and treats. And he should, he's had a good day. Now we're looking into raw food. I think it might go a long way in helping regulate him. *cross fingers & paws*

The Rufus Recap:
AMPS: 266
+3: 243
+7: 127
+11: 186
PMPS: 207

We'll get a bedtime glimpse. Tomorrow we'll be working with ten strips; ordinarily that would be more than enough, but it would really stink if he had an emergency! Have a bottle of 50 coming on the 31st, though, so no problem (bless my Amazon Prime membership - $4 one day shipping... you know, as opposed to $20+ at many online retailers!) Now I have a good picture of how many strips I can use (realistically) in a month. Playing it safe - buy in packages of 300 and just use whatever I have left over next month. Sounds good. *haunting eBay*
