This is the lowest PS number I’ve seen. Stalling to see if it is trending up. Moondance is hungry, so hopefully I won’t have to stall long. I will be around all day to observe/test. If the number is trending up, I know to go ahead and shoot, but what do I do if it is flat or trending down? Moondance hasn’t eaten since +3.5 last night (had food available, but didn’t eat), so he might be dropping from lack of food.

Did you feed him? Glad you are going to get a +2. Maybe a +3 would be helpful too.
Yes, he ate well when I gave him his shot. His number was flat at +2 (92) and I gave him a LC snack. I will check again at +4.

We are hanging in there. Moondance is still weak, but he can still get himself to the litterbox and the food dish. The Horner’s Syndrome affecting the nerves in his face is getting worse. He can’t keep his mouth closed which means he is always drooling and has trouble keeping food (even watered down pate) in his mouth. I expect he will only be with me for another week or 2, but this morning he climbed up on my pillow to purr (and drool) while I rubbed his face and ears. His numbers have been beautiful greens and relatively flat. As always, thank you for the prayers and hugs!

Hi Sherri, Moondance is so fortunate to have such a loving mama bean. I am so sorry that Moondance has not improved and I know you will let him go when the time feels right. I know how terribly painful it is to watch your kitty suffer in any way, too many of us have been there, and it tears at your heart. I just want you to know how I admire your strength and endless love for Moondance. Thank you for getting back to me with the update. Sending you prayers and hugs to encircle you all with love. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

I didn’t realize that he had Horner’s Syndrome. Do you know the cause? I’m thinking of you and Moondance. He is on my kitty prayer list right now along with Tiger and Snuggie. Hugs! You are such a great mom to him!

He has a lump on his lower jaw that the vet thinks is cancer. It could be causing the Horners syndrome, or there could be additional tumors in his chest, neck, or brain. His continuing/worsening hind end weakness, along with the Horner’s syndrome points to something neurological. I am happy he does not seem to be in any pain.

Thank you all for the hugs and prayers!:bighug::bighug::bighug:
