Same. Still not eating - force fed 2 Tbsp Wellness mixed w/probiotics and Transfer Factor. She also was made to consume 1 Tbsp Wellness at +9 snack time.

I'm going to try the mirtz a little later. Not sure how to cut that little tab into eighths.

Last night I was out for a few hours - when I got home and tested her at +6, she was 57... I fed, waited 30 min and she was 67- and I went to bed. At her snack time she was up to 88. So today I gave her a skinnier .1u since she's not eating on her own. I'm hoping the mirtz changes that, but with our luck...

I'm going btb.

Hi Krys,

I've been following Kasha's story, too, and have a thought. I don't know if you have any Board Certified Veterinarians in your area, but it might be an idea to ask your Vet if she knows of one or could give you a referral to one for
just for a consultation. These Vets just have more advanced training and work with the regular Vets on a treatment program. You would still keep your same Vet, but just get another opinion/and or treatment plan from the Specialist. I don't know if it it would be an Internal Medicine Veterinarian. The way it worked here in San Diego was I took my kitty to the Internal Medicine Vet by referral from my regular Vet, and I consulted with him on a planned treatment program for my kitty. These Board Certified Vets here work by referral only from the regular Vets. You keep your same Vet, as they're not taking the cat away from the regular Vet. The two Vets worked together with my cat's illness. I was at an advantage here as they have two Animal Specialty Hospitals with board certified Vets, but it may be more difficult in your area. It was expensive initially, but then once my cat was on a treatment program, it was follow-up and a more quality life for kitty. Just a thought if things don't improve with Kasha, but I do hope this latest treatment will help Kasha sweetie. I remember the Mirtz really perked up my kitty'a appetite.

How are your other two furbabies doing, Blue and Tigger? Maggie always asks about Blue especially!

sending more snowflakes and healing vines her way hope things improve soon so she starts to eat on her own (((((HUGS)))) for the Bean

Still not eating on her own - even with 1/8 tab of mirtz. She is interested in food -she stuck her head in my bowl of oatmeal and has walked from food bowl to food bowl - but she sniffs and then won't eat. I don't know if something hurts or what. I gave her some bupe last night and that made no difference with her eating.

Force feeding has gotten easier. She doesn't really fight - and she swallows down the food pretty willingly, once I get it in her mouth. I only gave her 1 Tbsp at dinner - I'll divide up the rest into smaller meals. I want to see if she gets hungry. She is still snorting like a pig - I tried to squirt saline in her nose and then suction out some of the mucus with a bulb syringe, but I had very little luck. I think the mirtz made her restless - she was meowing more than normal, but nothing extreme.

I'm calling the vet tomorrow. I don't know why she won't eat, except that I did read that when cats have been congested for a long while, they will sometimes lose their appetite completely. I don't know if that's it or if it's something else we haven't thought of. It's just odd that she was eating ok even though she was congested and then right after this last event - when she got the sutures and the clindamycin - she stopped eating. In fact - it was after the 2 incidents of vomiting after taking the clinda where she stopped eating. No more vomiting once the clinda was stopped. I've loaded her with probiotics. Still found a little bit of pasty poo in the LB just now - woudn't it be great if that cleared up and her appetite returned? I think that's just a pipe dream, though.

sorry to hear Kasha is still not eating but the runny pooh might be part of the issue. If that clears up her appetite might indeed come back. Here's to pipe dreaming, I'm going to believe in it for both your sakes.
Let us know what the vet says tomorrow.

I think I saw in someone else's condo that mirtz can make kitties really vocal.

I think it's encouraging that she's interested in food, I hope the appetite is just around the corner.
