Hi everyone!

Can't believe it's been almost a month since Junior has been OTJ! His official one month is next week but we'll be in California (again -- hopefully it's our last trip for awhile) and won't be able to post from there.

Junior's BG has stayed pretty steady, not much of a change from his OTJ trial. Appetite still isn't that great and FortaFlora works ok. I'm also working on getting him radiation treatment for his hyperthyroidism. The vet tech called Friday and said the vet administering the radiation is concerned and not sure if Junior is a candidate for this treatment. Something about conflicting test results and we don't want to see Junior go from being hyperthyroid to hypothyroid. So we're off to meet this vet tomorrow.

As for me, I finally did the triathlon yesterday. The swim is normally my best leg and I had a hard time getting my heart rate and breathing down to swim normally. So instead of swimming it in my 40 minutes range, I was there for 1:42. My time was atrocious but I managed to beat out 11 other people, including some 82 year old guy. LOL!

We miss you all and try to stop in as often as we can.
Bonnie and Junior

hey, BUT YOU DID IT! that counts worlds in my book! i'm a couch potato and i have the greatest admiration for people who do marathons/triathlons.

glad to hear junior's doing well. curious on the hyper/hypo thyroid. i always heard that they'd rather have you hypo than hyper, because you can just take a pill to replace the thyroid hormone that's too missing/too low.

thanks for checking in! it's good to hear from you.

I'm glad to have an update on Junior and hear that he's well for the most part. Good luck with his appetite...that can be such a trial!!! Keep us updated on his thyroid condition.

Congrats on the triathalon. I'm with Julie...I admire anyone who gets off their butt and participates. Winning is secondary!!!

Bonnie: glad Junior is doing well and congrats on your triathlon!!! I am with Julie.....fantastic that you DID it!!!

Hi guys, what a wonderful update! So glad to see Juniors numbers are still looking good .. good luck at your vet visit tomorrow .. and congratulations on your triathlon! That is something I could never do so I sit here in awe of you :-D

Hopefully, Junior isn't mangling you anymore -- now, it's just snuggles. Congrats on the triathlon. I'm with Julie -- I admire anyone who even makes the attempt.

it is affirmative! awesome on the triathlon! Impressive, no matter how well you did. Congrats!!

It is good to read that Junior is doing well. Good luck with the vet appt in regards to his treatment for hyper T. I hope that goes well.

hi Bonnie and Junior

congrats on 1 month OTJ!
Lots more to go right Junior? ;-)
Way to go Bonnie on your triathlon!

Good to hear that Junior is doing well! Hopefully they figure out for the radiation. It seems like we trade one thing for another.

CONGRATULATIONS on the triathalon!! You are my hero! You completed it and that is such a huge accomplishment. I ran a 5K Saturday and got beat by a 78 year old woman and that is only 3 miles. She blew past me and I thought WTH??? You should be very proud of yourself. We all are!

Have a great day!

Congratulations on Junior's upcoming 1 month OTJ Annifursary!!! WTG, Junior and Bonnie!!!

I hope that he makes a full and speedy recovery, and I hope that the vet has a good treatment for him to make that full and speedy recovery. I would like to see him back to his normal, happy self.

Congratulations on completing the triathlon!!! That's awesome!!! I can't imagine doing that, mind you.. I think I'm too old.

Have a great day, guys, and if I don't get a chance to stop by your condo tomorrow, I'm sending tons of positive thoughts and prayers for a good outcome tomorrow. {{{{{HUGS}}}}}
