Not so happy to wake up to a sunny. It was somewhat stormy last night. Pretty windy and there was lightning, but our corner of the world didn't get rain. I know the air pressure was different because my shoulders were all tight. I think storms and weather changes appear to affect Buster's numbers a bit. I hope he brings them back down today.

Missed the vet again yesterday. I am going to call her now...

Hope your week is going well and all is well in your world!

I hope you connect with the vet. Hopefully it was just the weather that gave Buster that yellow and he'll keep sliding down today.

Numbers came down nicely - yay! It's kind of stormy out again - monsoon season in the valley. Fingers and paws crossed he'll have a green evening.

Got to talk with our vet today. She thinks the pain medication is of value so I'm going to try a little harder to get some in Buster's lil tummy. Time to pull out the big guns! I just worry that Buster will start to be afraid of me and this will make him not want his shots. I'm going to make sure the pilling horror doesn't have any association with the testing or shooting and try to be as gentle as he'll let me be. Gonna search our forum and internet for tricks to pill kitties. She also said to go ahead and put him back on the Dasuquin. Hope he stops licking and clicking soon!

Have a good evening!

AHA! Tramadol is onboard! I tried some American cheese. Gave him a few "placebos" and he was very excited. However, once I put the "special surprise" inside he licked all around it, gnawed it in half, etc. and plain flat spit it out. Plan B: I solicited the help of my DH and we were able to get it down the hatch with minimal effort. I guess I just needed an extra set of hands. Hope we can do this for a few days to see if it helps.

Hi Tara,

I'm sorry Buster doesn't feel well. Did you ask the vet if it's possible to get the meds in liquid form? I have to syringe feed meds to Racci. She can't do pills. She always works herself into an asthma attack. If it's water soluble and doesn't taste bad I mix it with water myself after crushing with a mortar and pestle and just feed with a syringe. If he doesnt take it well you can try mixing it with tuna water. AT any rate, I hope the pain med makes him feel better.

Hugs,
Melanie & Racci
