Good morning everyone!

All kitties are good - I think my cats are a little lazy and I think I have to start making time to play with them more. Anyone have good ideas on some toys? I've bought everything and they lose interest really quick unless it's catnip and then they just pass out with it.

Hector peed on his tail this morning. :? Not quite sure how he managed that, but he does have quite a fluffy tail even though he is short-haired. I had to chase him around and wash his tail, which he had completely dry and fluffy within 15 mintues. For those of you who didn't know, Hector is a complusive groomer. He is able to turn his head all the way around (similar to the scene in the Exorcist) to lick the Advantage off the back of his neck. I've had to start putting it almost on top of his head. He's so weird!!!

I'm not quite sure what to do about the feeding schedule. the kitties are only getting 1/4 cup each of the Orijen at 7 and 7. they eat the majority of it, but always leave some and then graze on it all day. My problem is with getting Bob's BG - I never know when he's eaten so I don't think I will get any good information from his numbers. Should I feed 1/8 c 4 times a day instead so they will eat it all at that time? They may not even finish if off at that point, but there's a better chance. 1/8 c is only 2 TBS so I think they would be hungry enough to eat it all.

Well, I hope everyone has a great Fursday! One more day!!! :thumbup

I would not feed after nadir. After nadir, there's less insulin available to offset the effect of the food. You could break things up into 2 or 3 mini-meals prior to nadir.

Morning Dara! For toys, the only thing Papaya really likes is something on a string and a stick where I make it move (or even just a string if I drag it around). She's never been much one to play by herself, but she'll really bat at the string. She also loooooves playing in a box, especially the kind that fruit comes in that has little fingerholes. She likes to stick a paw through the hole and bat at things on the other side, and sometimes claw at the cardboard inside.

She used to also find it quite amusing to try to bite my feet through the blankets whenever I moved in bed but I wouldn't advise that one

I've found the best toys are things like the ring from a milk jug and paper wads. Some of my cats will play with drinking straws. Shoestrings are always a big hit.

Good luck with the feeding schedule.
