yesterday was better than the day before, but so far today, so so

Appy not great, but he is eating some

Vet visit today - I dont' think all the lab work will be in yet (GI tests were sent to Texas - hope they get there)
but I'm fairly certain Murphy will come home on some sort of steroid -
Since his diabetes has been so well controlled thus far :eek::eek:, shouldn't be a problem, right?:eek::arghh::arghh::arghh:

My cousin who lives in Houston is thankfully okay, and shockingly still had electricity and internet. Prayers for all of those affected by the devastating floods.

If they give him pred you'll see some issues with his BG's and need to adjust accordingly. Budesonide or Atopica affect the bg's less but of course have their own possible side effects. Sending lots of appy and vetty vines/ prayers.

Neko was on budesonide for her GI issues. I didn't really notice any BG changes. She did have a day or two of higher numbers when we started the meds, like her body was getting used to it. But she started two heart meds at the same time. I like budesonide cause the pill was so much smaller than pred. I ended up getting it compounded in chicken flavour liquid, which made it easier to give, and just one less pill and easier to change the dose. And her appy did improve within a couple days - course it could have been the heart meds too.
