Girlie's lack of poo led to her diabetes dx - and then the pneumonia post-enema and so on, and so on... So now I celebrate each poo; it is extraordinary how obsessed I am with every facet of her poos. If I had the energy I'd set off fireworks with each beautiful, successful poo! Boy, I tell you, @Alicia & Maggie and @Bobbie And Bubba : at some point we need to get a real life!:woot::p

Girlie has asthma too, and we use the Aerokat inhaler. Is Maggie's Asthma bad? It sounds like it must be if you need the pred and the inhaler. We can't do Pred as then we can't do Meloxicam; plus, she hates the taste of pred.

In your other post you mentioned Maggie fighting the inhaler: Girlie does that too sometimes; I don't blame her. I generally try to wait until she's half asleep so she's less resistant. She's much better with BG pokes than with the inhaler...

You know, it's amazing how many of her drugs I've taken for human things. When I give her the Flixotide, it's always a good reminder to me to take mine, as well! At least she doesn't seem as obsessed with my bathroom habits, thank goodness... okay, now I'm getting slaphappy - too much information! :woot: Better go off to bed after the PM+4...

What litter do you use? Girlie and I are trying to find a litter that she will find acceptable, that won't aggravate her asthma, and that works for me, as well. Just curious...

Yeah for poo!!!! Did you ever think you'd be excited about poo???
:D Or that others would be interested and excited too?? :joyful:

@Girlie's mom It's been years and years since I had a "real life"!

Yeah, I noticed Girlie has asthma too and was going to ask you about it. Maggie's had it all her life. We went through some real struggles at first, but it's been well under control for years. The Aerocat is amazing! Maggie has accepted it with no problems (as long as there are treats after), but as she has turned into a grumpy old-lady cat she is more resistant. She'll hold her breath, breath out forcefully, and twist her head. I usually try to get Maggie all "purred-up" before puffs since it is harder to hold your breath when purring. If only we could talk with our cats... explain our actions and how it will help them.

For litter I use the Petco store brand. Don't know if you have Petco in Australia... It is less dusty than anything else I've tried. I did recently try out Dr. Elsey's when I thought Maggie didn't like the texture of the the Petco brand. It was pretty low-dust, but seemed too coarse and hard on the feet. I also like the way the Petco brand clumps, and stays clumped, if you give it a few minutes to set.

Darrah, I get a kick out of your sense of humor and your positive attitude! :joyful::D:cool: I hope you are fast asleep by now. :)
