Looks like either he really liked the increase or I made a mistake increasing too soon. I had been shaving whenever he dropped below 50, but I think I need to wait until he does it 3 times so I know he's serious. I took Friday off so we have a 4 day weekend to think about it. Buster was hiding under the bed today and not too happy about coming out for his +3. He perked right up once he realized he was going to get a 3rd breffis :lol: I hope we get the pain meds, soon.

OT: DH is leaving town for a week. He's going on a long roadtrip/sightseeing/camping/Jeeping trip with some friends. Wish I was going, but it will still be nice to have the house to myself.

oh buster. what a nice start to the day! :mrgreen:

just remember that if you're doing the 3 times below 50, then you really want to take the full 0.25u reduction. or you can shave with each time below 50, but you don't want to combine those two strategies, ie, don't let him go below 50 3 times and then shave.

you can end up with an over-full depot if you do that.

Got it, thanks Julie. Although, I was doing just that before and we keep bouncing back and forth between 1.25 and 1u :roll: He always gets my hopes up and then can't hold the reduction. I'm just glad he's regulated and a happy kitty. My friends think I'm nutters, but they can suck an egg on this one - lol!!
 
are you using calipers? you might look at Max/Elise's condo for today - she has the same issue with Max and we were talking with her about how much to reduce while hopefully, not losing the great green streak. People who use calipers seem to be able to fine-tune the dose adjustments really successfully. Basically, you can shave just a little and it's a small enough amount that it's less likely to lose regulation with the reduction.

If you haven't tried them, you might. I can find the post Marje did on using them if you want it.
 
If Buster is a happy kitty, that is the most important thing! I'm glad he seems to like this dose. Maybe he'll like it for a while, and maybe he'll tire of it quickly. Gotta keep the bean guessing!

Sometimes it is really nice to have the house to yourself and do things that you want to do, when you want to do them (as long as the cat allows, of course!).
