Alright, I was wondering if I should do an increase tonight? If so, I'd probably go with .25u. I'll look in to the numbers more closely while I'm at work though.

Also, my first day is going, relatively, smoothly. :) Forgot my calculator at home, knowing I'd need it for class today, and most of my books aren't in yet, but so far classes have gone exactly as I expected them to. Not looking forward to that $50 lightbulb I have to buy for Bruce later, but he needs it.

Also went ahead and told my grandpa he's fine without testing Tip at +4, but he will be getting her +6.

Yeah, my thoughts are "Does it come with the kitchen sink too?" :lol: But at least it's an all-in-one light, provides any and every kind of light he needs and keeps him warm. Since he's a desert animal, can't exactly provide that weather in Ohio. I hope you have a great day too. :)

Right now I'm hoping the rain calms down since there's a sudden T-storm and I forgot my umbrella. ohmygod_smile I'm hoping it calms down in the 1-5 minutes I have before needing to get to class...I need to remember, "In Ohio, ALWAYS being an umbrella", you'd think I'd have it memorized, living here my whole life.

So, I've been talking back and forth with my grandpa, and he's been trying for an hour and a half now to get a 2nd test on Tip. The first one came up as 400 and something, texting him back for the first number since I can't remember. That was at +6.5, I have a feeling it isn't correct, but he can't get another test in, Tip isn't bleeding for him or my brother anymore. So I doubt I'll get another.

This happened all of a sudden. Why is it that we can't really get blood anymore? She was doing so well....

Hi Cindy

I definitely agree on the increase by .25u tonight.

Hard to say...are they warming her ear? Poking in the right spot? Sometimes I have a problem getting Graces left ear to bleed. If one ear bleeds better than the other, just have them use that one.

I don't think a 400 would be unusual to see at +6.5. Remember meter variance would be 320 so if she already nadired and is headed back up, 400 could be right.

They are warming her ear, and in regards to where they're poking her, they said the edge, didn't know how far up or down, but I assume towards the top, where I showed my grandpa. I suggested to try switching ears an hour ago(+7), but I've yet to get a response back. Doesn't help that I've got terrible service right now and can't exactly move to a better spot. I think it was 430? I can't remember what the number exactly was.

Just got a response back, and looked at my phone logs, it was really at +7, and the number was 453 exactly. They're doing everything right, so I guess this number will just have to do.

Glad your classes are starting off well. Testing, sometimes its just hard to get a blood drop. When I have that problem with Jasper it helps to warm his ear up more by rubbing his ear and head another minute or more. I rub the base of his ear sometimes both ears until they feel hot in my hand. That seems to relax more of his blood vessels enough to give me a blood drop. Good luck with the dose increase tonight!

Found out the problem, he didn't know he needed to replace the lancets after each use and had reused the one from her +2 test. I guess I forgot to tell him that. So that got all fixed. Also learned I'll be cutting it really close on monday, wednesday, and friday with getting home. Got in the door right at 6:05pm, 5 minutes after the exact time her pm shot is due. The bus was also a bit late today from the schedule. Soon as I get her +2, I'll update the first post and subject.

And that lightbulb wound up being $85! :shock: That's just....if he didn't need that bulb, I would've said he can go without it....but he needs it, so he got it.

Glad you figured out the testing issues. You can take the request out of your subject line.

Don't stress overly much about the time. You could probably shoot within 20 min. or so of your shot time and be fine.

Yeah, I did while I was updating everything else.

Yeah, it's just the bus here can run up to half an hour late at some times, and with a 30-45min commute(even had a bus run an hour late), and getting off at 5, it makes me a little worried. But I guess even at worst, I'd be within around 20minutes.

Mystery solved. Also..have them look closely at the lancets. There is one beveled edge...that should face up when poking.
