Well, we survived Curve Day!

Spooky has been stressed out by it though. He fussed this morning, but this evening- he was in rare form. He growled, hissed, and snapped- all while trying to warm his ear. I asked DH to let him go before he went into an anxiety attack. After about 10 minutes of DH loving on him, we warmed the other ear and managed to test before he snapped again.

Talked to the vet, and, based on his curve, and all the info given, she was fine with the fact his dose had been dropped without me calling and talking to her first.

Great news! Spooky's dental has been scheduled! :-D Sept. 10th. I am hoping his numbers might go down some more after his bad teeth get pulled.

I am taking his glucometer in so the vet can test with both hers and ours before he leaves, so I know the difference.

@ Rhiannon- I am so grateful for his SS. Without it, I'm not sure I would have kept tabs on what food he was eating. I just write stories everyday in the right hand column.

@ Liz- thanks! I am happy Spooky was so good yesterday when we really needed him to be, and hope that, come tomorrow, he has mellowed out a little more.

Little by little, you are getting there.
Some cats take a little longer but that's okay.

I bet you really go down after the dental. You will want to watch harder just in case. Since you are in the blues, you "could" get really lucky and march on to OTJ.
Plus the anesthesia will affect him so I hope one of you might be able to monitor the day/night he comes home.

So as soon as one of you manages to get a test all by yourself, You could really use some numbers in the PM cycle.
Many cats have more active cycles in the night.
And as I told you yesterday, maybe next sunday you could get a mini curve , every 3 hrs but pick different numbers than what you did
yesterday.
