Happy Friday
Pedro roused himself to go sleep in the sun - busy night for him with the bright moon, wind, and all the windows open.
(Today is move in day at work for all freshman (ah... remember that feeling) and I'll be working all weekend - so don't know that I will have time to fix my home computer.)
Recap yesterday: AMPS 312, PMPS 124, +4 89. Nice to see green. Pedro seems to take at least 5 days to settle on a dose.
I suspect that between the pred and the food he may be a bit of a challenge to get a flat profile.
My regular vet and I will be having more of a discussion about food. He is very open to discussion. Wants to be really careful about changes as Pedro's system is so sensitive now. Wants to be sure that the protien is not too high too as that is tough in the pancreas. So I'm now going to focus on the diet...
Talked to the vet last night with blood work results. fPL is still greater than 50. So for now- no med changes. And I just have to know he seems to be doing pretty well all things considered.
Good news is that his liver numbers are back where they should be and other numbers were all with in normal range. He wants to ponder next steps and he will consult with the Pedro's IM vet that he sees for Cushing's. She may want to do another ultrasound but he had one done 2 months ago and saw nothing so I'm just not sure it's worth another one right now. Don't know that anything would be done differently. And if they saw a tumor (other than his big adrenal tumors) again- don't think we would do anything different. He has enough stuff going on that it is really all about trying to just keep him a happy kitty.
I have to get over to their office and pick up a copy of the labs for the specific numbers.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.
