He is still pretty sedentary. Most days he does not play at all. On a good day he is alert, may sit at the door and watch the birds/squirrels some, will sit on our laps, seems interested in what is going on, will purr sometimes if petted. His coat is better. He isn't starving all the time. His pancreatitis is much better. Other times he just mostly sleeps and doesn't engage much. On bad days he has pain, hides, is grumpy and his neuropathy can be bad. Today he hid a couple times, was very grumpy about testing, wanted mostly to be alone and slept a lot and his neuropathy is pretty bad. I attribute all that to the bounce (he has been in the 300's steadily for a few days).
We feel afraid to leave him for very long for fear his glucose will drop too low. We seldom leave him for more than 2-3 hours. I really would like to go for a hike and be gone for 5-6 hours. Every time we plan anything, he looks like he might go too low.
Are we too cautious?
