yesterday -was such a miserable day - but he seemed to rally a bit at night. I expected the worst when he didn't come to my bed this morning, but was pleasantly surprised that he ate his wet food this morning, and sometimes walks with his tail up. This has been the pattern for the last 4-6 weeks though - a very bad day followed by one or more better days - we'll see what happens and tomorrow is his all important vet visit
yesterday when he would eat nothing, I made the recipe for the liver shake found under health links as a last ditch effort - I syringed 10 cc into him (of course he wouldn't eat it on his own) one hour later, his BG went from 115 to 227 - then I figured out - of course, carrots are high in sugar. So I will try to remake it using 100% tomato juice, assuming that will cause less of a sugar spike - am I right in that? Maybe someone should post a warning on that sticky about using carrot juice in sugar cats. Oh well, at least I have something good to give him if he goes hypo on me in the next day or so
